These head sculpts are still available.

Yes, this is from some time ago. It's pretty nice in my opinion.

I picked one up the other day. It is in the post as i type. I hope it is legit (not a knock-off).
Once in hand, step one will be deciding on a body color and size.
As for a character, i am undecided.
My approach (portrait 1st) is probably a poor one. I will think of something! Smile

Thanks. By the time i read your reply i had ordered a pale body.

Mine arrived today, and i noticed that the top of the forehead area has a long ridge?
Does your head sculpt feature the same ridge?
If not, then mine is defective.
I have contacted the seller to see what they have to say.
If it is correct, then i might have to cover the area with a hat. The hair covers some of the issue.
Still, i am not 100% happy.
Also, in person, the head sculpt looks less narrow, more round, compared to the proto photo's.

Here's an image of the issue:

Please note: I took the photo to highlight the issue.
I used a phone camera, up close, thus the shape of the head sculpt looks distorted.

Still a pretty nice head. If you can cover it up with hair and it is not obvious, I think it's fine.

Face looks nice..
The hair when down covers most of the issue. Where the parting is, the lump / ridge is visible.
It looks like she has bumped her head on something.

I do wish sellers would post photo's of the actual item / items being sold, rather than use promo (stock) images.
I am keeping the head-sculpt. I will probably use a hat to hide the lump / ridge.

I got in contact with the (Chinese) ebay seller, and they replied:

'Hello, the manufacturer's version is like this, each head is like
this, with a partial refund of 5 pounds ($6.34 USD). I just hope
you can give me a positive feedback, and I will do the same.
I hope you can accept it..'

Does this mean i have a knock-off and the entire run features the same issue?
Doss this mean it is not a knock-off, and all the portraits have the same issue?

Forum member French might be able to answer the question.

Yes! I’ve found that a few sellers will take a pic of what they actually have in hand—e.g., the ones who are shipping from a stockpile in the USA.

I got a C version of this, to have a head sculpt with a brown bob haircut, and fwiw it does NOT have the ridge.

The hair is thicker and puffier than the promo pics, but it can be brushed down to look closer to the pics.

No ridge? ..i guess i have a bad batch.
The black box the head sculpt ships in looks exactly like the block box you have.

I noticed that the eyebrowse on yours look that same as on mine, smooth painted. The proto appears to feature extra detail include hairs either painted on or decal?

I ordered a green hat today, which i think will suit the character. It is green, and from a DID figure Smile

I don't completely love the puffiness of the short hair bob, compared to the promo pics. I'll probably give this one a permanent hat too, to keep it under control jocolor

The long hair version (which i have) is placed in the box as such so that all the hair bends backwards about half way down, around neck level or slightly further down.
Going to need work on a way of straightening the bend. Might try water.

On some head sculpts, all I've had to do is fluff the hair around for a bit and it falls into place. On others, I've tried water and/or a light hair mousse. I have one head that is absolutely refusing to straighten out; it also has some other issues in the design, such as a big cut-out under the chin. I watched a video on different hair materials and how to work with them, but tbh it didn't really help me with specific identifications of materials.

I’m sure some of the experienced 1/6 folks can give some hair advice.

I have this that cost a rock-bottom price, where I'm trying ways to straighten the hair, but I don’t yet know the difference between a cheaply made brand that only costs a few USD and is ok for a project, and a knock off one should avoid supporting:

Other than the strange (dark) color plastic at the rear, the head sculpt looks decent enough.

I'll probably paint the strange part of the plastic black. Or glue on some hair? After I give the ponytail a wash in hot water to straighten it out. And then fill in the space under the chin with modelling clay or plaster or greenstuff (depending on which one won't interact weirdly with the head material) and paint it to match the skin tone.

I can experiment on this instead of, say, a pricier Mandy head sculpt. Maybe when I own more heads I won't feel so scared about even touching them! Cool

Doesn’t that seem like too much, though? I’ve been comparing everything to the SDH019 head sculpts, which I love, and which sit on the neck differently. But then, maybe because they do sit differently, and have that few mm more chin, that makes all the difference:

The hole under the chin does seem on the large side.
It would mean no photography with the camera pointing upwards under the chin.

Yeah--I'm thinking I can stage the character looking down at her scruffy little dog. I think it'll work. Now I need to find a 1/6 scruffy little dog!

The hair style looks on point.
Good luck finding a 1/6 dog. They show up from time to time. They tend to be plastic. I cannot recall seeing a dog with hair.

One of the Hot Toys - Back to the Future figures shipped with a dog. Some one might sell one off when breaking down a Hot Toys figure for re_sale.
With a bit of white paint he could look like the dog in the image you posted.

I just saw your message, hence my late reply.

I have the wavy hair version, I took two pictures for you, and her haircut is different, her hair is not at the back. So to see what you are asking me, the hairline, I should mess it up (I can't).
As you can see, we can't see her crest.

If you want a specific angle, ask me. But I don't come to the forum every day either.

I see my pictures aren't great, but I just took them a few minutes ago.
If you want a specific angle, I can do it.

I bought it from a merchant at Ali Express and mine is from the brand "Super Duck"

SPQRKlio, for dogs try ebay sellers dino-finds-hub and lovejoylife.

I think you might want a Yorkshire Terrier or West Highland Terrier.

Have fun! I’ll be interested to see what kind of dog your figure ends up with.
