Star Trek TOS Custom 1/6 Action Figures

I am a huge Star Trek TOS fan. Since QMx stopped production of their TOS figures and Nanjin Tam/Exo-6 has not yet announced any TOS release I am customizing some characters that will probably never be released by a professional company.



This is yeoman Tonia Barrows (still needs her custom boots).

Klingon Mara from TOS S3 "Day Of The Dove"

Great looking figures! I'm sure they will fit right into your Star Trek lineup. I like the choice of bodies and headsculpts, and I'm guessing you made parts of those outfits yourself?

Thank you! Yes, all by myself (except the phaser, it is QMx, bodies and heads).

Nice group shot! The multiplicity of figures and the humor add to the presentation. By the way, when you insert images, you just need one instance of (no spaces!) [ img ] before and [ / img] after the link. I've been cleaning up stray code.

Looks like she got her boots. Nice.

She now has here utility belt, too, so she is fit for landing parties. (I am not happy with her pantyhose, I ordered better ones, the one my Romulan commander is wearing.)

One of my current projects is Lt Mira Romaine of S3 The Lights of Zetar, not one of the best episodes of TOS but a very lovely lady Scotty fell in love with. She has lovely chunky thighs



so I needed to choose a different TBLeague seamless body than the one I used for Tonia Barrows (S29). I opted for TBL S39 but was unsure whether the legs would really be thicker than S29. (I never mind the big big b**bs the TBLeague female bodies sport, they undergo surgical operation to get normal bust sizes.)

Thanks to MeMyself&I who informed me about the thigh circumference of S39 my guess was confirmed. Now I am waiting for TBL S39 to be delivered. That may take some time.

Great looking characters! Did you have to modify the outfits at all?

Kirk, Spock and McCoy are original QMx releases.

All the other characters, Koloth, Mara and Tonia are by myself, using generic bodies and tailoring the uniforms.

Tonia's equipment (phaser, Tricorder,  communicator) is QMx.

There was another Klingon female in TOS S3 Day of the Dove (right), with a slightly different uniform (rank and file).

I thought Tonia's pantyhose look great. But you know what you want. Apart from the QMX ones, you made entire uniforms out of scratch? Impressive! I thought maybe you were modifying existing ones (I know Mattel? or someone did 12-inch figures of Star Trek characters, but maybe those were only more recent films, like the ones with Chris Pine). I have a custom Kirk (posed with the original Kirk) based on that; you can take a look here:

Apart from the 3 QMx guys I made all uniforms by myself from searching and selecting the right fabric to sewing, glueing, making the Klingon disruptor (with steel parts), the boots, (and modifying an existing head sculpt to Cpt Koloth aka Bill Campbell).

Tonia's pantyhose is from Asia. I will even be going to make better rooted hair for the girls - and maybe even also for the three male QMx characters.

I have been working on the Romulan Commander (S3 The Enterprise Incident).

I am only showing her to you to demonstrate that she is wearing finer pantyhose. She is subject to revision - and looking forward to getting a Romulan guard (with helmet).
