The hairline looks great, and that is one of the tricky parts. Hopefully some product will help the hair do exactly what you want it to do.

Several days late, but at least it made it. lolGubernatorFan wrote:USPS works in mysterious ways, especially as we get to that time of year again. I hope it works out. I had a similar package going rogue for a couple of days situation, but it got here in the end.OceanGirl24 wrote:Haha yes he will have more hair. His hair was supposed to be here yesterday. USPS claims it's in transit but can't tell me where.
Thank you!
Thank you!Randam Hajile wrote:Nice work on the sculpt. I'm looking forward to see how this head will "develop" further.

Thanks on both. I almost always have a mermaid theme going on.Stryker2011 wrote:Looks good.
(By the way… dig the nails).
For sure! I just hope I can figure how to do a curly hair mullet...skywalkersaga wrote:It is indeed a tedious process at times to get the hair right on these figures, but it's going to look so good when completed!

Ephiane wrote:Good work . I can't wait to see it finished. I use hairspray to fix the hair of the characters.
Thanks! I'm beginning to think there's a reason for that. lolOvy wrote:Wow great work on that hairline already. Never seen a style like that with real hair before.
Thank you!Diana wrote:Wow! That hair looks fabulous!
I'm sure you'll get it to stay the way you want it.
Thanks. I appreciate it.Theboo-bomb wrote:I'm not aware of the source but they look great, and the hair also looks really good.
It is. But a curly one and I don't have much experience with shorter curly hair. I've pretty much avoided it so far. LolGubernatorFan wrote:Isn't i basically just a mullet?
skywalkersaga wrote:Regarding keeping the hair 'in place', there is a method where you can mix 50/50 liquid wax (for polishing floors) and water in a small bottle and apply it onto the hairstyle with a small painbrush (ideally the brush should be about the size of the locks/curls you want to keep in place). But like with anything, you would probably want to experiment with some extra hair first.
I suspect Ephiane might know a thing or two (or three) about curly hair.OceanGirl24 wrote:It is. But a curly one and I don't have much experience with shorter curly hair. I've pretty much avoided it so far. LolGubernatorFan wrote:Isn't i basically just a mullet?

I'm having trouble finding clear wax. Future and Pledge are no longer sold near me and I'm not sure about the multi-purpose stuff that sounds like it's more than just the wax. I regret throwing about that bottle of Pledge I used to use on decals.skywalkersaga wrote:If you try the wax method, just make sure it's clear wax. Maybe that is obvious, but I forgot to mention it intially...

Ooo, that's interesting. Thanks!Ephiane wrote:Really Great. the trick to get hair curly is just by comb it. I use only mohair for the figures, very fine stuff. I pull the hair by comb it with a a very fine comb, so it gets curly. After a while it looks like it was before.

skywalkersaga wrote:Ephiane -- I also usually use tibetan lamb hair, but I think OceanGirl is using a different type of wool for this figure's hair, a more curly type of wool I don't have experience with.
OceanGirl24 wrote:
I did end up switching over to Tibetan lamb's hair. I just didn't care for how the other stuff was looking no matter what I did to it.
Stryker2011 wrote:Hmm. Can you get him to actually sit on the seat? His arms should extend about shoulder height and nearly straight if he’s sitting down properly. Then it may be better, and you could end up happy with it.
GubernatorFan wrote:Actually, I think the resemblance is pretty good already.
Stryker2011 wrote:That's too bad about the Harley. It's difficult with these figures in a way. Between the inaccurate scaling of the bikes, to the restrictions of the figure, makes it difficult to get that "natural" look. So far, the only "bikes" I have that actually work with figures have been either Star Wars related, or (I think) video game or comic-book movie-related -- so not "real".
By the way, I think you did a pretty good job on the hair work for the figure.
skywalkersaga wrote:He looks good to me! I'm still so impressed that you resculpted him like that, it looks amazing.
