Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires The Game Movie (Characters are Inspiration to Many Chinese 1/6 Costumes lol!)

Just for fun, I made another story but this time, on the game Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires!

It's a game based on "The Romance of Three Kingdoms" and features many of the people there, of course in stylized fashion. In the game, you can make your own character! I made one and my story's about a guy who's tired of the horrible corruption in the country, so he forms a group to destroy the current society and rebuild it. Of course, just like with any person or group who deals with power, they will have to fight the temptation to become corrupt rulers themselves! (And other crazy things happen because I like insanity) Laughing

The gameplay is quite fun! You begin by either choosing to play as one of the 40, 50 (or more, there's too many) characters found in the historical novel, OR you can create your own characters if you want to roleplay as another person in that era. Then you choose your weapons which come with fighting styles, and you change your character's appearance and clothes and armor. Everything can be changed, even the colors and body part sizes! After that, you can begin a campaign or a new conquest which will put you in a random location on the map of the period you choose.

When finally in the game, you can choose many things to do for yourself (if you chose to start alone) or for your territory if you chose a pre-existing character. Almost everything you do has a good and bad version and you're free to choose what kind of leader you'd be. You can raise funds because armies require money to function, people have to get paid! You can raise rations/food, because people need to eat to survive! If you're quite evil, you can simply pillage the peasants, which will make them unhappy but give you more resources, but this would also make you lose soldiers because why would they work for an evil leader? You can even either recruit them to your army or forcefully conscript them! You can take a stroll and recruit people who might want to join your army. To recruit them, you'll have to build your relationship with them a bit by interacting with them. Usually you'll just chat or eat food together. Once you have a high enough level of relationship, you can then successfully recruit that person. If you're not part of any group, from time to time, officers, generals, or even the emperor himself, might scout you and ask you to join their group! Of course you can say yes or no. If for some reason you get tired of someone, you can either expel them... or execute them!

For the battle of the armies itself, you first begin with the map itself. The map will tell you if any part of your territory is being invaded or not. If you're being invaded, you can either defend it yourself, or you can just ignore it and probably lose that location. You choose a location to either invade or defend. You can even form alliances if you want, and when the going gets tough, you can call them for reinforcement! Of course you can betray them if you want to! You can even bribe officers to switch sides. You can even sabotage their defenses so that they'll be easier to invade! There's even a feature where you can start conspiracies that would destabilize territories or alliances, which can be a lot of fun!

After selecting an area to either invade or defend, you may sometimes have the option to choose some secret plans/strategies. These are unique types of actions you can activate while in the battle itself that could help you immensely. Sometimes the plans simply involve simple night raids, where you attack at night when the enemy's not yet fully ready. Sometimes the plan is about waiting for reinforcement, where you have to fight off a ton of enemies before a large group of reinforcements, usually with a powerful officer or general, comes to help you. Sometimes you can hire bandits to distract the enemy! Or you can even prepare ballista/juggernauts/rams and siege weapons to help you bust open the enemy's gates or climb their walls or take out their towers!

In the battlefield itself, you'll have to literally fight thousands of enemies alongside your just as massive army! You are of course more powerful than normal soldiers so you can easily cut your way through hundreds of those normal guys, but the real challenges are the officers, generals, and lords. They actually fight back, they will gang up on you when given the chance, and of course, they have special moves just like you!

In the middle of a battle, secret plans by your army or the enemy's army can activate at any moment. When it does, there are conditions that you'll need to fulfil so that the plan would work. Sometimes it's as simple as killing 300 soldiers within a time limit. Sometimes you'll have to defend certain personnel in your army from attackers. Sometimes you'll have to assassinate enemy officers. Bears, wolves, tigers, and even pandas, can get involved if there are beastmasters around to lead them to battle.

The game's really simple, especially once you get used to the strategy part. You just need to weigh whether a location is worth defending or not, if by ignoring them, you'd gain access to an enemy's capital, which you can then invade and take out the leader. Once you take out the capital, you own all of their territories! The battle mechanics itself is very simple. You can probably just mash one button and come out the winner, as long as you don't allow the enemy to fulfil their secret plans.

I really love this Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires game. It's very basic but at the same time, very satisfying!

Very confusing, but interesting to see what the hype is all about.
