If it wasn't yet another Iron Man, I would have been even more impressed. But I've got to give it to them -- they also included the gantry (did they offer it before or was that third party?) and they actually made a new Tony Stark head sculpt, with movable eyes at that. On the other hand, I'm not sure they really nailed it. Something's off.

It's a matter of which gantry.   Hot Toys has been all over the Iron Man 2 gantry (that's the one with all the yellow arms that comes with the Mark IV) - doing a straight-up 1/6 release, then a 1/4 version, and then recoloured in 1/6 as the Neon Tech version (and maybe others).  This gantry on the other hand is the "portal" version from the later films, with the Mark VI, and it may be their first time at it.  I think there was a third party version but not in 1/6.  

And I agree it's an excellent sculpt but maybe not "nailed it" level.  On the other hand, as high end sculpts go, Downey/Stark is probably the most often done of all - so with everything that's already out there, 4 substandard ones, 4 very good ones, and 4 superb ones (or however many) my interest doesn't really perk up, regardless of how good this.

3rd party porthole is 1/6, made of resin, I made this with it adding a bunch of custom arms, custom EL-wire, a scratch built Ironman from a cheap HC toys figure, scratch built removable armour, exposed under armour and a custom 'First Aid' Pepper Potts figure too (just because). This was some years back

Yes, I remember yours Alex, and I knew it was third party before your modifications.

The portal gantry that I remembered is indeed not in 1/6 - it's this one, made by King Arts https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/29696 at scale 1/9. This Resin one from TVS escaped me entirely. Shovelchop81 predictably makes it look good, but I think that's more to do with the Shovelchop work than the underlying TVS base.
