Good luck with your project! Are you going to colour this body with the oil pastels?

Yes on Oil Pastels. Like I implied in another thread I have The Good Guy Hancock outfits in mind right now.

Blue shirt, hoodie, shorts when he fought his ex wife

Also his awesome classic Superhero Outfit.

QMX Sulu is on his way directly from Nanjin — so at least I’ll have all the figures made to date.

That's great, Stryker. I haven't seen any reviews of that one, hope it has turned out well. : )

John Stewart Based GL Figure

I plan on giving it a new body remaking it into Superman Val Zod or Calvin Ellis

But that might be challenging due to Val Zod needing his completely original suit. I can give Calvin Ellis a normal one I will have to find a m34 muscular neckless body.

But eventually it will get done along with my other figs

Both of these guys arrived today (the battery in my "real" camera died, so here are a couple of sad phone pics).

Glad they arrived! The Elrond looks a bit better than I expected. What are your thoughts on them?

I honestly think they’re both pretty cool.

Elrond: As someone pointed out on the Freaks, the neck on Elrond is too skinny, but it’s that soft rubber covering around the neck, so I cut a couple pieces of the black foam that was wrapped around the head sculpt to protect it, and stuffed it into the neck to make it wider. The outfit is pretty restrictive, so there isn’t a lot of movement that can be done with the legs, and it was rather difficult to get his arms in that pose.

Sulu: is just plain awesome. He doesn’t come with a lot of stuff — in fact, aside from extra hands and wrist pegs, what you see is what you get. I know a lot of people were upset about the slight smile/smirk to the lips, but I have absolutely no problem with it. The arms on Sulu were super stiff, and at first I was worried about breaking them, but proper pressure and support at the elbows, and I was able to get them to move.

That's great you are pleased with them, happy to hear it. I know you waited a long time for the Sulu, so that must be a relief. Frustrating about the neck and posing issues on the Elrond, but you managed to make it look great.... I would never have known that the neck was too slender. And how you have him posed at the moment is very nice so hopefully you won't have to worry about it too much in future.

And the Sulu headsculpt looks great to my eyes -- love the bit of a smile he's got going on, really adds life to him, imo. But it's still versatile. I'm not a trekkie so I can't really comment on the details, but as a figure he looks good to me. : )

The TOS was “my” Star Trek, so overall the uniform is pretty spot on. Nanjin is a crazy stickler for the details, and even created new bodies for these figures. Now that he’s no longer the Project Manager for their 1/6 lines, to say everyone is worried about the future of Trek is an understatement. It’s hard to get a straight answer from them — or any answer at all, for that matter — but last I heard, Uhura and Chekov were supposedly still coming (but without Nanjin’s guidance, that could be a dicey outcome — assuming they get made at all). Nanjin was also the one behind The Princess Bride and Supernatural— and again, so far only one figure from each — though other figures had been previewed over the last few years.

Great new recruits, Mark. I think they both look excellent, and I'm glad you're pretty happy with them. Nice save on Elrond's neck, too. I do the same with some TBLeague bodies (usually M33).

That's such a shame to hear that, Stryker --- I was really excited about the Princess Bride figures myself. Had hoped they'd do a Buttercup in her red dress to go with Westley, le sigh....

Just received hot toys Winnie the pooh and his partner in crime Piglet!

It's quite hard to judge since it's not for me, and quite a first in hot toys history to design teddy bear figures... Still I unboxed them as I was curious and they are veeeeeeery cute and nicely crafted, not as "fully" articulated as you could expect from hot toys, but still very cool and with a level of craftmanship that is really awesome for a plush bear.

Anyway my mum is in love with them both, I hope I'll be able to steal them from her for a couple shots lol

A few quick phone snaps...

What an interesting purchase, blackpool! I had no idea those existed -- as a childhood fan of Winnie the Pooh, I'd definitely be curious to see those. : )

They are indeed super adorable, and the vintage Winnie Pooh look is a great choice.

Sulu's great, but I was surprised he was so tall.

He's virtually the same height as Scotty, so I cut the ankle cups off the bottom of the legs and pulled the pegs out of the boots. That brought him down to a practically perfect 5' 6".

Nanjin's been saying that the Sulu body is no longer made, and if QMx release the second wave of him he'll be 'as big as Kirk'.

The body he used for first wave Sulu wasn't his adaptable Polaris one used for Kirk and Spock 2.0, but a 'generic' one he found that best fit Takei's proportions. I think it's the Ganghood 2.0 Asian Muscle Body with the neck cut off, as was used on Picard.

Proportions are great, except for the height.

Nice grab, blackpool. I never went anywhere without my Pooh when I was little (though he was always missing one eye or the other; my mom would sew one back on, then the other would fall off). I’m glad your mom likes them.

Man, yesterday was like Christmas. Four POs from Timewalker arrived yesterday: the Cat Toys Flower Fairie (aka Tinkerbell) costume for the S26A body, Sideshow’s Mythos Boba Fett, ThreeZero’s Tyrion Lannister (season 7), and TBL’s Anubis. I just finished putting Tinkerbell together — very cute, but a bit of a pain. Will post pics tomorrow.

I guess I should add my latest purchase of the HT Bespin Leia here, even though I already mentioned in in GF's review thread. ;p

Haha! Poor headless Anubis. Yes, I had POd him with the intent of seeing if I couldn’t get a larger head made for it — or, worse case scenario, making one myself.

I am looking into changing the head to look more authentic (Egyptian). Next step was the Green stuff that gave Sky so much trouble... but in the meantime this is how far I had gotten, getting rid of the Egyptianizing fake stuff.

I'm sure Michael Crawford will give Tyrion a thorough review; he looks awesome; and he comes in a more compact box (I'm almost offended for his sake), but it's sweet. I will review ADD War Wolves, the "muscular version," presently.
