I guess that would explain why born and bred soldiers couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, but a kid born on a farm could beat them easily.

Paul, I remember seeing somewhere that 501st Legion approval is based on whether the overall look is correct rather than whether the materials and underlying structure are movie prop-accurate. But perhaps I misunderstood, or the UK regulations really are more stringent. I mean, while you were part of the EU, there were regulations on the curvature of bananas, right? Sorry, just my attempt of a lame joke (though this has been held up to us as an example of silly EU regulation).

I mean, seriously, we were playing on a bar league. Half the people playing were already a little drunk... “They hit that with the flat of their fingers, not the tips!” Yada yada yada! “Dude. He’s drunk. I’m surprised he hit at all.”

Interesting that your have reenactments of the American Civil War (aka The War Between the States or The War of Northern Aggression). Must be interesting ... from a British point of view that ought to be just a bunch of bloody rebels fighting another bunch of bloody rebels.
