Hello!

It's been a long, long time since I've posted anything, for those curious I'll talk about it at the end since I don't want to bore anyone with details about my abasence, but for those wondering it's about health but we are all good now and hopefully stay that way. So back to the figure at hand, this guy is something I made for that weird industrial slavery universe where people pay their debts by working for corporate nations, I had him finished quite fast but I didn't have my head on 1/6 and I think it shows a bit but I still think he looked okayish enough to show off.

Non-Industrial zone for free economic development, or the Free Zones.
Free zones, sometimes called the zones or "Frones" where areas designated inside industrial districts to be used for economic reasons. These zones provided additional goods to those inside the districts, these goods ranged from food, to clothes to all sorts of entertainment and pleasures, they also provided other non approved services such as smuggling and even digit blazing or the erasure of ones debt and identity from the corporate nation's databases. Because of this free zones where usually surrounded by high fences  and entering them required a lot of permits, once inside however you where not free of the peering eyes of the Industrial Security Authority whose drones would fly above the area looking for any identifiable targets, if one such target where to be found it meant the end of the little economic venture.
But not all free zones are the same, Blu Moon was different, its the largest free zone ever conceived, it has public squares, theaters, cinemas, casinos, and much more, it has everything someone inside an indistrict could wish for, a small scale city of vice and pleasure for the abused indebted. The name blu moon came from all the blue lights that illuminated it almost twenty-four seven, as time went on the idea of "Blu Moon" came to develop into a zone wide thing, almost everything was blue outside and that included Moon Security whose blue camo pants and helmets would slowly become a sign of a good time or the last thing a future digit blazed would see before leaving the dirty, grey world of the industrial district. Blu Moon continues to operate, a blue beacon of hope for those wanting to escape and a small base for those too afraid or with too many attachments to take off it's pier and disappear into the rolling mist that blankets Blue moon's only coast.

Well that's it for today. I said I would talk about what kept me out of the hobby for a month or maybe more, I should add that I only do this to vent a little and perhaps as a way of telling those of us here on the forum and those that might come across this to take care of their health. Back in May my mom was diagnosed with a cancer (operable and since July 23 out of her we hope) add to this endometriosis which resulted in her going anemic from blood loss, lots of doctor and hospital visits, 6 pints of blood and a lot of trips to San Juan since there was no one that could actually deal with this back here we got a surgery date, July 20, that day came and went without an operation thanks to the health department not having her covid 19 tests results, operation was on the 23 and the Dr reported it a success and pathology confirmed it. I don't know if I'll be able to post as I used to for the upcoming months since she will be undergoing additional preemptive treatment but I do hope to be around, and I do hope that all of you out there take out the time to take care of yourselves right after you take care of others.

So that's all, I'm more or less back into 1/6 once more and I've already started working on four figures, at least two of those will be for my puerto rico alt history series, the other might made up nations in that same universe, well see. But for now, that will be all, I hope all of you stay safe out there and look after yourselves.

all the best to you and yours, boo-bomb.
your figures and back-stories are always an inspiration
for all the non-military stuff that I'd like to work on.
....keep 'em coming!

Nice new installment. And how appropriate for the name "Blue Moon"! I hope you and your family have successfully surmounted the medical crisis and are going to be healthy and safe.

All my best to you and yours. My thoughts are with your mom, that sounds rough. Glad to see a new character. That blue rifle threw me for a bit, and if I might suggest trying to add a bit of the cameo pattern from his pants onto the rifle and his helmet might help tie it together a bit more. Cool backstory.

Thanks GregT, I plan on keeping the figures going, while what might lay ahead could be difficult I'm sure we will be triumphant. I'm glad my little stories inspire you too, I also get inspired by the stuff other posters on here post.

Thanks Gubernator, there's still some treatment left but it now feels like we are far better prepared for what might come. I had picked the name from the song Blue Moon sang by Frank Sinatra which also appears in Fallout New Vegas, I had sort of imagined this zone to be a new vegas type of thing except there's no Mr. House.

Thanks Stryker, your good wishes are welcome, I can only talk from being there but if it was rough for me I can't imagine for her, nevertheless we are going to keep going for a long, long time.

I know the blue rifle is a bit weird, I had originally devised it to be used by a less intimidating, non-lethal indistrict security officer (I also painted a shot gun similarly) but I didn't like the idea of giving the Indsec any sort of humanity so I scratched that idea and it ended at the hands of my Blu Moon guards. I hadn't thought of doing any camo to it but I guess it would look more interesting that way, I would have to practice a bit before I try to replicate it since the only types of camo I've done are "Brush stroke" types and not too well. Alternatively I could go with a WWI type of camo.

Wishing all the best to your family. Hope this hobby can help relieve some stress in a way.

The moody blue color palette really gives it a cool vibe, how convenient you have hat blue wall background at your disposal.
I also like how the hint of blue light gives that familiar background a new touch.

That door has seen a lot of history by now, maybe it's a doorway to the multiverse.

Thanks Ovy, the hobby has always been a great distraction, I dunno how there's people out there that look down on hobbies but to each their own I guess.

I'll soon be making one or two new walls since I have some ideas, I need to start making some more decorations for this one too and fix a slight bent it has. I also have a plan for that multiverse door, just need to get some figures out of the way so I can tackle the truth behind it.
