that's MJ from the latest Spiderman films correct?

The headsculpt itself is really nice, but the hair just looks plastered on and kind of ruins the realism a bit. If I were acquiring this, I'd proabably re-hair it.

I can kinda see Zendaya in the sculpt, but something feels off and the sculpted hair looks weird, maybe too solid i think.

My reaction is the same. Nice enough set, but bothered by the sculpted hair, although I can kinda see why they went with it. From a more general point of view, it would be nice to say more youthful civilians.

I got MJ, not because of Spider-Man: Far From Home, but rather with The Last of Us in mind. Also because of the Zendaya connection, and due to the relative rarity that it was a figure of a black girl with a body that actually had a matching skin tone.

I had plans to use parts of her to upgrade my kit bashed CC Toys Ellie # 3 and # 4, since she had dark blue cut-off jeans which would be short enough for Ellie, and a pair of Converse shoes.

I gave the Science Today book to my bashed Tom Holland Peter Parker in his Lettuce The Taste of Sadness outfit.

MJ comes with a few clothing options, but I chose not to use the school jacket, skirt or the shirt printed with the photo of Sylvia Plath. (At other times she wore one with 'Votes for Women', and one with Joan of Arc which would've been good!)

The sculpt has been roundly panned from people's photos, but it isn't actually that bad. Face on isn't a good look, but I like it from the sides and from three quarters.

The jeans she's wearing are from VTS' Dark Zone Tracy.














MJ's Converse shoes are on my Ellie # 3 (in the middle), and her jeans are on Ellie # 4 on the right:

Thanks for sharing Asta! What's the blue jeans you now have on MJ. Those look pretty good! I like your combo for clothing here for MJ. She does fit into TLOU universe like that!

That's a lot of Ellies! Certainly a lot to offer kitbashers. I hear you about the body, but I can't help but think this is one of those cases where they gave the female head a pencil neck.

The jeans are from VTS' VM-019 Dark Zone Tracy:



She was the figure that turned into the one with the brown jacket in the final photo.

Tracy VM-019R became the donor figure for TLOU2 Abbey in the penultimate photo.

The neck is definitely a downside between promo and production. I'm sure it looked thicker originally.

Luckily, the way I have her displayed it doesn't show since the shelf is below eye level.

I don't know what make the body is, and not even aware who makes female black bodies with visible joints. I was more than half expecting them to make do with a tanned Pop Toys.


She also has really long 'drum' extensions at the bottom of her legs, since Zendaya is 5' 10".

However, the figure still only works out to be 5' 6" (11" above her boot soles).

Which means that the base body is very small. I wonder whether Young Rich adapted it from their Miles Morales body?



As for Ellie, # 1 and # 2 got the top shelf:




I guess the little Redman American Dreams Ellie is # 0!

# 5 is Master Team's TLOU2.

# 6 will be CC Toys' TLOU2 which is supposed to release later this month.


I also received CC's TLOU2 Joel and Clicker today, but haven't opened them yet.

There's one pretty surprising thing with Young Rich: they don't muck about inventing fake character names or film titles:

Cool. I don't know what happened head-on, but she does look great from the side and half side. Strange about the bodies. But hey, as long as they work, right?
