With the changing backgrounds, the weapon might be a teleporter device.

Or it's different adventures and different times, but he always loses his sword and she gives it back to him.

Or they are clones in different places, receiving their gifts at the same time to unite for some evil foces of evil with black capes.

But I like the golden forest alley the most.

Magical. I like her pointy ears.

I will take this as a compliment. Smile Actually only the helmet, vambraces, and shield are Persian. I picked up a few parted out pieces, including the horned saddle, which can work for Roman cavalry too. The cuirass is Greek (from TBLeague's Alexander set), the greaves are pseudo-Egyptian (from TBLeague's Tut set).

Stryker2011 wrote:I like that new background/floor image there, Ian. I think the perspective works great.

Thank you very much, Mark, I'm glad you enjoyed them. It is projected on the screen, and then I did a quick and superficial job digitally extending it around the figures' feet. The first one is of an actual overgrown Roman road in Britain, the second is from a beach in... I forgot where...

Thank you very much, Ovy. I was thinking it was her elven magic that made them teleport in their efforts to escape the Beast. Smile But I appreciate the alternative scenarios. The absent-minded (or unlucky) champion idea is hilarious.

Thank you very much. Yeah, they've grown on me enough, especially when I don't prick my fingers on them. Smile

I like the latest background, especially the gear of her bodyguard.

I love the shots in the golden forest. Suitably magical. Looks to me like they are awaiting guests to their realm and are unsure whether they are friend or foe... Smile

Thank you very much. It's eclectic but it kinda works, doesn't it?

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it. The golden forest is actually a Roman road in Britain. Real place, but you're right, suitably magical. And yes, that is actually a perfectly suitable interpretation of the scene(s).

Well, if you want to hunt it down, this spot is known as Halnaker Tunnel (or Mill Lane), and is located in Halnaker, northeast of Chichester in West Sussex. I looked it up, here are some links:

Haha! I had already found it actually, but thank you! Laughing
Looks like it could be combined with a visit to Brighton, which I've heard so much about but never been to, despite living in England for over 7 years... I wasn't interested in these things back then. scratch

Looks very magical, I like the lady a lot specially her dress. However as we all know strange ladies lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.  Lady of the Lake (updated with Part III - more images) - Page 2 1f604

You found it already!? I'm impressed. Patience is not one of my many virtues either. Smile Yes, it is in the area of Brighton, which is considered a seaside resort in Britain. I think some of the plot of Agatha Christie's ABC murders took place in those parts.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked her. And her dress, since that was just a makeshift effort on my part (she would not have looked suitably elvish in just the one-piece swimsuit). Smile Ah... yes, Arthur did not really do that well in the long run, did he?

Thank you very much, I'm delighted you liked them. Coming from you, as a master of mediaval-ish fantasy figures, this is very flattering. Actually, another installment is imminent, as I've fiddled with bashing some more figures that would fit in.

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Great pics! Backgrounds are super effective, and a great fit.

So glad that reference landed. That's how I know I'm home.

It rings a bell -- both references, actually -- although I can't quite place them right now. Is this from the Guy Ritchie movie?

Thanks. That was going to be my next guess, but for a moment I thought the language might not have been quite right -- then again, it has been a very very very long time since I've seen this or any Monty Python movie (Life of Brian is pretty fun).
