I totally get the appeal these stylized figures may have, but i cant help but wonder whats her bigger concern with the "armor": freezing her butt off or burning her back

I like the unhelmeted head sculpt. It’s very pretty. But I can’t see spending $200 for something this ridiculous. The tattoo just below the chest armor is a nice touch, but the armor overall doesn’t serve much of a purpose. I suppose this is once again based off some cosplayer.

Really wasn't expecting that from the title, thought it might be 60s People's Liberation Army ladies for some reason.

Well...yeah it's incredibly stupid of course, but I know several people who will definitely love them and I won't judge. It's more something stormtroopers would paint on their gunship.

The kitbash potential is limited thanks to some more ridiculous designs, even with a full black jumpsuit there would be more work. But the helmet design is nice, looks like a hyper realistic redesign.

Well they had potential for interesting characters.


This could be some Imperial guard type. The logo is totally photoshopped, maybe they are careful treading on Mickey's property.
This image section makes her look like a proper character.


But that has never been the point of the figure, I know.

She does have a gorgeous face.

This is very much not my thing, even when they distort the source material this much, but that is a very nice head sculpt. It might even make up for the tragic loss of my YMToys Sayo sculpt (thanks again, Ubipost).

It may simply be the result of some heavy photoshopping on the torso, but that body doesn't look like a TBLeague or a Jiaou model that I'm familiar with. I do like what I appear to see, but I wonder if it is truly seamless.

That tattoo seems to be photoshopped in in these promos as well (it doesn't look like it sits right on the body contours in a couple of shots), so I wouldn't expect anything particularly groundbreaking from it in hand.

Y'know, this makes certain sense.
Stormtrooper armor is useless in Star Wars movies, and their aiming skills are so legendary that these ladies have much higher chance of stunning you with their looks than with their blasters...

It doesn't matter whether the figure is seamless since the costume covers all of the joints.

The rocket backpack gives a whole new meaning to "hotpants". She had better hope that they are made from asbestos.

LOL. Maybe being a Star Wars fan (sorta) makes me appreciate this less. I suppose it can be an ironic sexy silly Halloween costume. I'm very sensitive to the proportions of helmets especially, so this is a no go from the start as far as I'm concerned. The helmets and other armor pieces are twisted and stretched in a way that does service neither to Star Wars nor to the female form. About the only thing salvageable for canon Original Trilogy Star Wars kitbashing is maybe the blaster rifle (and maybe the holster). I do like these sets better than the X2Toys version, but only because War Story approximates (very distantly) the Original Trilogy uniform. I agree the head sculpts are very nice, although they remind me of the female assassin robots from Austin Powers.

Do people forget that Mos Eisley Cantina had a strip joint next door, where these ladies would fit in perfectly? Particularly the question of whether Han Solo... [better not do that joke].

I can't justify buying this set for the head alone as lovely as it potentially looks, but if there's also a unique seamless body under there...



This is where I am now in this hobby, desperately seeking selling points to justify buying full sets so I don't have to go through the whole dispiriting circus of gambling on the honesty of eb*y and AliEx sellers to supply me with part-outs. I'm having the same dilemma with the new TBL Amazon and Spartan sets, neither of which are particularly exciting as full sets but both of which contain elements I'd quite like to obtain.

I don't think it's a seamless body. You can clearly see seamlines on legs and belly , the poses are rather stiff, especially around the stomach there seems to be no articulation. The legs look disjointed from the hip and there is a lot of photoshop going on anyway. The kneejoints look kinda bloxky jointed body like too
. My guess is It's just a rubber stomach

I'm pretty sure it's just one of those regular jointed bodies. The joints are just hidden nicely in most of the pictures. You can kind of see the leg/hip joint in the left figure in this picture. The regular head IS pretty nice though.

I like the helmet (like a blend of Stormtrooper and Deathtrooper with clone phase 2 elements on the back) and the jetpack is nice but the majority of the rest is meh. Can we get practically armoured fem troopers? the bikini look is just silly

This version, in my opinion, is way better than the X2Y Toys bikini indeed. But I didn't like this "surprise" gimmick of randomly coming the red color, instead of just choosing it when buying. You can opt out of the red one, but you can't guarantee the red one, if it is your liking. This can open a dangerous door to people paying extra to guarantee this version. And if this practice starts to spread, welp, may the 1/6th scaled Gods help us all.

One way to minimize the sexyness on this particular set is by putting a jumpsuit underneath it, like the 19XG38 from Vstoys.

I'm loving this figure and just might pre-order her.

I just wish she would came black instead of white or red.

Has anyone seen or heard about these figures having been released?

eBay sellers (from you can guess where) are listing them as "In Stock" in their product titles, but in the descriptions they are saying "Pre-Order" with an estimated release date as Q4 of 2022.

eBay prices have become obscene, with an additional $99 added on to most orders for shipping, resulting in a total cost that is at least double the original retail.

What happened to the almost universal "free shipping" on orders from that particular country?

And, as a tangent – why do legit retailers of new figs (Giantoy, BBTS, etcetera) seem to have an extremely limited number of new items to offer, while eBay scalpers from You-Know-Where have a nearly unlimited number (contrary to their "Only X Left" claims) to sell at vastly inflated prices?

And... because I'm p*ssed off and on a roll... why is MATTEL doing the same thing? Mattel used to be a legit "playline" mass-market manufacturer. The latest Monster High "Howliday Winter Edition" Draculaura doll was supposed to retail for $62 USD and be available "at major retailers," yet before it is even on the shelves it is sold out and the eBay "pre-order price" is in excess of $200 USD.

The acquisition process for newly announced figures is becoming extremely challenging (or messed up), with sight-unseen pre-orders with an extremely narrow window of opportunity and inflated secondary market prices becoming the New Normal. I don't like it.

Where do you guys (in the generic gender neutral y'all sense) purchase your figures? Does anyone... can anyone... afford to wait to see "in-hand" images before making a purchase anymore?

Will Giantoy fulfill my pre-order when they could make double or more selling on eBay? Will the distributor fulfill Giantoy's order when they can probably make triple wholesale selling on the secondary market?

Has this Storm Trooper Babe actually been shipped to anyone yet?

I don't think this has been released yet. I usually go with OSK or Giantoy. They usually fulfill if you've preordered well in advance. OSK and Giantoy usually just orders enough to fulfill their preorders. Any extras are usually people cancelling or not paying their invoice. It's tough to wait sometimes on a 3rd party figure until final pics so it's more relying on the company's reputation if final production will be as good as prototype. Usually a catch 22. If it turns out great, no one cancels and it's hard to buy after release unless its from ebay at inflated prices. If it turns out bad, many cancel and it's available as extras on the usual sites.

Also don't preorder on ebay.

War Story WS015 Empire Commandos figure.

The "helmet" is a separate solid head, not an actual helmet.

The body is "semi-seamless" rather than seamless as advertised, with jointed hips and shoulders and a seam under the bust. The elbows and knees are "Barbie style" seamless, with a ratchet-type joint with a flexible covering. The bust is hollow rather than solid like a TBLeague or Jiaou bust.

The connecting pegs at ankles and wrists are plastic.

Six hands (three pairs) are included.

Not pictured: rocket jet pack, ammo canister, blaster rifle, metal headband, and stand.

The figure just arrived. I'll try to get a photo later that includes the accessories.

Overall impression: meh. I'm extremely disappointed by the outright deception in the pre-release promotional materials calling this a "seamless" body when it is not. It is a lightweight, hybrid body.

The chances of getting a "special edition" red version "at random" are likely zero, seeing as how the stock number, WS015, is boldly printed on the figure carton. The red version is WS015s.

I'm not really surprised, but I'm sorry you're disappointed. Then again, you pulled off a beautiful shot of your own.

At least it looks kinda cool on your pic, even if the quality is a bit subpar of the figure itself.

I just received my figure and I was expecting the heft of a phicen seamless body but it turns out that they used a custom PopToys-type body with ratcheting knees. Like Davidd said, it is a little disappointing but I understand that it may have been a cost cutting move on the part of the manufacturer. Some could argue that if it is going to be displayed on a shelf or in a case then why does the weight of it matter? Well, if I am paying this much for a figure, I want it to be substantial. Perhaps in my short stint as a collector of these types of figures, I have become spoiled by the TBLeague bodies? Nevertheless, I still like the figure because it is unique and I am a fan of different. I used to be a Star Wars purist but this figure is just absurd and outrageous. Here are some photos I took:
