I've complained in the latest purchases topic about hot toys providing a stand for WW84 deluxe edition with the electronics completely removed.

So I "fixed" it.

I've decided to go for a two color setup, with one superbright white, and one diffuse red LED.

Pretty cool. I like the effect it has on the armor.

Very cool! At their price level, Hot Toys should have never cut corners here!

Yeah, right? I mean it cost me about 50 cents in parts and a few minutes of soldering. The most expensive part was the 3xAAA batteries, but I'd not have faulted them for not including those.

Nice work. I haven't set up mine.
Is the bottom plate easily removable? Or did you have to cut it open?

It's glued in but it comes off with some prying. I used plastic tools made for opening up phones, those will not scratch the surface.

I guess the most difficult part of the mod is making the terminals for the batteries, as ofc those aren't included. I used the terminals from junk electronics, just slightly had to trim them to fit.

Plus I added a nut and bolt to hold in the battery cover, because otherwise it would just fall off without the glue.
