Finally obtained this grail for a what-you-see-is-what-you-get deal... It's a cool below SGD$100 cost inclusive of transportation to seller's place and back.

Cleaned the dust out, removed the corroded batteries, soldered my own AAA battery boxes to it....
Hehehe..... early xmas gift to myself. And the owner didn't even know it has electronics.

I took some more photo's today, outside, on the same concrete area as used for 007 James Bond - Roger Moore 1/6th figure by DID Corp. Admittedly it was a different time of day, which can affect the way shadows work.. Cont. a few pages back.

My latest purchase is not a figure. My latest purchases are a couple of signed photo's. Let me explain..

This weekend i attended something known as The Darkside Darkfest 2023 held at the Genesis Cinema, London.
During the weekend they screen various movies. There is a Bar, traders selling DVD's, Blu-ray's, Books, Magazines, Toys etc.
Also present were a number of celebrity guests who have links to movies. The list included:

This was the first time had attended such an event. It was quite small, and everyone was super friendly.
With the theme being horror themed (obviously) most of the stuff on sale was horror related.

Each celebrity had their own table, and where quite happy to chat with fans, sign posters etc, and offered various photo's which they were happy to sign.
I decided to pick two photo's have them signed.

Martine Beswick sitting on Sean Connery's lap.
The Jamaican-born British actress and model perhaps best known for her roles in two James Bond films, From Russia with Love (1963) and Thunderball (1965).
I had a chat with Martine, she was super nice, and i decided to get this photo, as i figured it would look good displayed with by Big Chief Studios - 007 James Bond figure.

More pocket stuffers, and odds and ends. PCU gear needs to be made again. It's just so hard to find loose.

It's annoying when you are looking for one or two minor things but they are specific and nowhere to be found. So, well done, rhino!

Well, as luck would have it, the shop I am ordering from has all of that still in stock, but in the case of the Firefly figure and Erica Storm, they got those in stock only recently.

I am not into having my photo with celebs, although that option was available. I was chatting to someone who had their photo taken with nearly everyone. Meeting some of these celeb's who have appeared on screen was interesting.

Ordered this morning two TBL bodies (S53 and S07 (which makes an even 6 for me)), and the SAToys SAT-026A, B, and C (yoga workout set). Needed the S53 for a figure, the S07 is so I have a body to swap outfits with, and the yoga sets were decently priced with the benefit of mix/match colors and styles with other things.

Good buys. My latest tbleagues were also a S53 and a S10 - so pretty similar overall.

Also bought two Jiaou Dolls on Ali for like 35 bucks each. I think 10 and 17 iirc

I may have purchased 60+ LEDs for an upcoming diorama I’m planning. Saved $60 with the cyber Monday sale though.

Go Hero / Castaway Toys "Flash Gordon" costume set - a circa 2012/2013 release:


I've been wanting the Go Hero Flash Gordon figure ever since I first saw it pictured on Flickr a decade ago, but I've never been able to justify the price. Recently, an incomplete set turned up on eBay at a reasonable price: the costume, laser pistol, and the ginormous laser rifle, but on a generic body and missing the original Buster Crabbe head and boots.


The uniform fits a TBLeague M32 body almost perfectly. The head used here is an inexpensive head sculpt found on eBay (probably a "knock-off" Josh Brolin). It's not Buster Crabbe, but it'll do for now.
