And for those of us in the UK M&S are running the same promotion for their products.

Don't shop there much, so I don't expect to pick up one anytime soon. Pity it wasn't one of the main supermarket chains.

The New Zealand version still seems to have healthy trade.

There seems to be a similar promotion in the US by Zuru but I don't know which supermarkets are involved.

I don’t often shop at Marks and Spencers but one of my mum’s friends does and picked up one of the minis for me this week. The scale varies depending on the product from what I’ve seen in the stores (the can of tuna and soup look very oversized), but it’s safe to say most of them will work well with 1/6th scale from what I’ve seen. The one I got is really just printed card with some foam or something inside to keep it rigid, but it’s lovely quality and all the text on the packaging is clear and legible, even down to the cooking instructions on the back!

The paper bag they come in is recyclable but I decided to turn it into a little shopping bag instead.

I’m in the process of making a kitchen diorama for Max and Juno so I’m looking forward to filling their fridge with goodies!

I do wish Tesco would get in on the Little Shop thing though, M&S is so expensive! Sad

Nice finds, Christine. I ended up buying a lot of Zuru's from eBay, and most of them seem at least a tad oversized for our scale.

Most of these things tend to range between 1:5 and 1:4 in scale with a few that are close to 1:6. 1:5 scale is often usable for 1:6 projects but anything larger just doesn't look right.

Awww thank you! :3
There’s no such thing as ‘bonsai seeds’ I’m afraid, whatever you’ve ended up with may eventually turn into a tree but it’ll take many many many years, and even more work with training to make it a bonsai. Bonsai refers to the art of making a tree tiny, not an actual type of tree or anything. I’d recommend going to a garden centre and buying up some small shrubs or hedge plants to play around with, that’s what I’m doing!

I really like cotoneaster and lonicera at the moment as they’re easy to find in my garden and the lonicera in particular grows super fast so it’s easier to work with!
