Star Trek TOS Med Bed Monitor Unicorn sensor

I am building the Star Trek TOS sickbay in 1:6 scale.

Any idea how to make that transparent "unicorn" sensor that you see below the monitor display?

Weren’t there “retractable” light sabers in some of those old 3.75” Star Wars figures? I wonder if something like that could be hunted down…?

Maybe look for it on Shapeways, then scale it appropriately and have them print it in translucent white plastic.
