A bunch of stuff came in over the past 2 days:

Finally received my Exo-6 First Contact Picard & Data
I purchased 2 each of the WWI Trench Dioramas (from DiD)
2 sets of the new World Box male hands
2 each of the TBL S45A (that I completely forgot I had POd a long time ago, and wish I hadn't)
a Pop Toys Business Suit (I'm guessing for Batfleck Bruce Wayne)
and finally Mr. Z's "Brown" Akhal-teke & the "Brown" Thoroughbred (though it appears to be closer to reddish brown). I was hoping to be able to use both of these for the same horse, but the colors are distinctly different, and my paint skills wouldn't be able to match them. (I have one more horse on PO, hoping that at least one of these horses will match in color to that one).

Here's a couple shots of the horses.

That is quite the loot, Mark. The horses look pretty sweet. I bet you and Lady Stryker will be riding them in no time... in sixth scale. What in particular was the attraction of the new World Box hands, I forget?

I think you’re confused.   I asked:  “If you had to completely start over with 1/6, what would you spend your first $1,000 on?” not “What did you spend your last $1,000 on?”.   Razz

(Don’t mind me, I’m just envious.  What a haul!)

While it's hard to see, thanks to the wash out from the bright light of my computer monitor, the hands are nicely detailed and painted. (There are two pairs of "gripping" hands -- one slightly wider open than the other).

My wallet isn't so envious. This is the bad thing about all the delays due to C-19, suddenly tons of stuff are starting to show up all at once. All but the Thoroughbred above came from one retailer, and I see they already received something else I POd and another (Hot Toys Bespin Lando) is on "imminent arrival."

After a long postal odyssey, I recently received a package with the the Redman RM047 Mina Harker figure. For those that might be interested in this firgure, here are some snapshot.

The resemblence of Winona Ryder is not great, but she is still recognizable. The costume appears to be a little cheap, as the skirt has a papery feel.

I bought the figure to get a Victorian style dress for a planned steampunk bash, so I'm pretty Ok with what I got. Also, I think that the Winona-head could look much better after some modifications.

Here is another shot after a quick head swap, as I intend to use the Hayley Atwell head for my steampunk bash...

Looks good. I’ve been debating on this figure just for the late 1800s outfit myself. The hat is the worst looking element, but I could definitely see using the dress for my Western era stuff (despite being British).

Nice looking horses Stryker! Seems you got a nice pile o stuff arriving!

I quite like that Peggy head sculpt better on the figure than the original Winona!

Glad to see your horses arrived, Stryker. They look nice. Sorry for the disappointment about the colours, but unfortunately Mr. Z is very inconsistent when it comes to the horses' coat colours, and their interpretation of 'bay' coats seems to be something they really struggle with. For what it's worth, the Akhal-Teke colouring seems the more realistic of the two, but the 'red' one is ok, too. If it were me, I'd probably customise the 'red' horse into a dark chestnut by re-hairing it with a flaxen mane and tail. It would probably look quite similar to Delanie's Illi horse that way.

Re: the Mina Harker.... the Hayley Atwell head looks a lot more convincing on it!

This J Scott Campbell Red Riding Hood statue went up recently (part of the Fairytale Fantasies by Sideshow):

So, I decided to pick this up from MonstersInMotion (it was their last one/warehouse find) to go with it -the Mezco The Wolfman from 2009, based on the Benicio Del Toro movie - in the meantime I have it with this early Phicen (pre-TBLeague) Red Riding Hood:

Red Riding Rood is another Xenoscope character from Phicen’s run on Grimm’s Fairy Tales along with Robyn Hood, Van Helsing, Dante, and one other that I can’t remember.

It’s very encouraging to see that there’s no faking or peeling on the pleather after all of these years.

Yeah, as I mentioned in the flaking pleather thread, ideal environmental conditions helps more than anything.

Davidd helped me recently track down a sculpt, (huge thanks!) that MiskatonicNick used for his Victor Champion character. I have copied the outfit Davidd used his his version, should come in handy for crossovers in our comic Very Happy . I re-bodied mine using an M33.

It's a cool sculpt. I think I have one somewhere. Always thought it might come in handy if I did an Assyrian king or something along these lines. Nicely used, and seems to be appreciated even by your sixth-scale ladies.

That would be an interesting custom figure Ian. Do you think you will ever create the figure?
Yeah, the ladies are certainly impressed by Victor, I guess it's all his tales of adventure that interests them bounce

Maybe this version of him is more considerate of their feelings. Smile I don't know if and when I would get to such a custom; currently working (on and off) on a pharaoh. And that is definitely not the sculpt for one of those -- unless he were a Persian ruler of Egypt... Smile

Deluxe Legolas: Battle of Helm's Deep from Asmus arrived yesterday. Sorry for crap photos, I really need to get off my lazy ass and change out the backdrop to something darker instead of using the packing foam that the whole thing arrived in. A couple quick shots -- my one nit is the floor of the base needs to be double the size (since it's so high with the Orc ladder that it won't fit in a typical Detolf anyway, to accommodate the "torch" and for more dynamic poses. Otherwise, it's a really cool figure and diorama.

Thanks, Alex. Yeah, he's pretty cool. And I'm so glad Asmus went with the combination hair (sculpted/real) this time, as it makes posing him a thousand times easier.

I finally managed to get out First Contact Picard & Data, so here's a couple quick pics to show them off.
