Well he is a bit dated now a days (having said that I own the original Medicom 12" Predator and Alien figures back when they were rubbery plastic over articulated skeletons) the MacFarlane AVP 1/6 'statues' are really nice, have those on display with my HT Preds.





You can join the bases to create a disk and reverse the figures so they are fighting each other, that's how mine are displayed, except mine are right in each other's faces.

Those are pretty nice! Bandai did nice 1/12 versions.

Lots of cutting and glueing today trying to distract my senses from my bastard toothache! Sucky start to the year, back then immediately tooth! Anyway sinuses now full of melted plastic and various adhesives' stinks some time later and the armour is all modded and painted with some attached, removed the face from the MF Pred to use on a future build (does anyone know someone who sells custom 1/6 silicone dreadlocks? There used to be a guy on Ebay years ago) with that grey cranium part etc.. Did a bit of silver dry sponging too.

FYI, HC are now doing AVP Scar Predator (HT KO) in 3 versions: masked, open mandibles and closed mandibles. Might be good for future pred custom fodder

my FP is getting there, the kilt will need a lot of filing on the underside and it's old school resin..yuck..really messy and stinks!

It's just a preference thing, that old night owl one is way too heavy and tough to use, it's like a workout in a gym! The mini one I'm using now is a bit unpredictable with random keys malfunctioning regularly, good as a back up. The new one is a really nice featherlite but super sturdy about the size of an i-pad called an Arteck HB030B. I mucked up and missed the the pin when I tried to connect it, now I can't recover it and my PC keeps asking for it in order to connect it via bluetooth.

I'm not familiar with that brand I'm afraid. Check to see if they have a website.

Yeah I'll email the seller too and see if they have a master passcode or something, it's infuriating seeing all these people on YT connecting without even needing one!

Back on topic.. nearly finished the FP, just need to make the kilt, paint the nails and sort out the helmet as it looks kind of goofy, I'm hoping adding real lenses will help. Mounted the cannon which was quite fiddly and attached the feet using hot glue with plasticine in the connector gaps to prevent glue entering there and locking rotation. I also finally finished all his silver beads.

I smell evil in the air  Your predator is looking fantastic!  But I'm sorry to say, not nearly as evil and frightening as those old 80's band boys, ROFL

After spending yesterday sawing and filing all my resin armour parts I decided today that wasn't good enough and I wanted a movie accurate kilt/armour/butt flap, so I've spent the day doing that starting at 5am and just finished. Might be a bit long but better than too short, painted nails, crotch armour and some other parts too; I'm calling him done for now even though there's still the odd bit I want to do.. I forgot to give him his wrist blades until the last two pics, I guess you could say they were retracted.

Cheers GF! The plasticine just prevents the hot glue from getting into the gap in the split part of the pegs and acting as a lock.

Thanks...WIP generally looks a bit rubbish as you have to start somewhere, well unless you're Da Vinci but even he obviously got bit lost design wise at times!
