Since mermaids aren't actually real (as far as I know), your take about what they're like is as good as anyone's. [offtopic]Reminds of the movie "Underworld", in which vampires have reflections. I read a comment from someone who thought the movie wasn't realistic because vampires don't have reflections. Yeah, that's the least realistic bit in a vampire movie [/offtopic]
