Kayla wrote:Hello everybody,
this is Kayla from Germany. Some members already know me from the German forums.
I collect female Phicen/TBLeague, preferably the smaller bodies with younger heads. But I started with S01 and then I preferred S16/17 with adult heads. I originally come from the fashiondoll area and I only had a few Phicen on the side. But I liked the realistic look more and more - and so more and more Phicen girls and ladies came here and are now the main part of my collection.
I already have done a few experiments with the Phicen bodies because I like a variety of skin colors. It is also very important to me that the head and the body are perfectly color-matched. Maybe some people here are interested in my experiences - I already can see some related topics.
I also love taking photos (since I was a teenager) and so I can combine both hobbies well.
I hope to have a good exchange of our experiences!
Greetings
Kayla

Many thanks for this hot tip - it really sounds good, that it's something interesting to me.Stryker2011 wrote:Kayla, you should check out the work of DonDeG here. And his blog links. He works a lot in the realm of figures similar to the Fashion Royalty, and I think you’ll find his work most impressive. He loves for the mid-century modern era, and makes some truly impressive dioramas for his figures.

Mellr00 wrote:Hi everyone.
I'm mellr00, 33 year old from the UK.
I'm relatively new to 1/6 and 1/12, even though I used to have an army of action men when I was younger and a bucket load of clothes.
I've been doing tabletop miniatures for 25 years, some scale models here and there for a while. I stumbled upon phicen bodies by accident, because I was basically attempting to design a seamless 1/12 with my 3d printer and was happy to find the technology was already there.
I'm in my initial "buy bodies, experiment with things" phase, so hopefully will have some stuff to show off relatively soon.
Zamorian79 wrote:Hi everyone! I'm a 42 years old mexican who has been collecting from decades ago. I still have some toys from my childhood, He-Man, Thundercats, M.A.S.K., etc, but I think I began collecting in my early 20's with the McFarlane toys.
My first huge investments were a few Sideshow comiquettes and soon I got my hands on my first premium format Ms. Marvel, to this day one of my favorites.
But well, we are not here to talk about statues, lol! I got into the 1/6 figures with Superman The Movie Christopher Reeve, also still one of my favorites. I occasionally bought a Hot Toy or two per year without really knowing what I was getting into it and to be honest at the time I think I didn't enjoy them as I should.
The figures were kept inside their boxes for almost a decade. A few months ago I finally decided to enjoy them, so I got a proper display to keep them safe from dust and it is now that I got hooked with the 1/6 line, now I can't stop! I'm looking for old releases, other brands (Threezero, DamToys, etc) and customs.
Here is most of my 1/6 collection.
A pleasure to meet you. Thank you for having me and see you around!

I just needed some time to recovery from all the crap I went through. Finally settled into place which was much like a boulder that had rolled downhill and finally found its place at the bottom of the hill. I don't "do" much anymore. I got no "umph" to do stuff, but I like seeing what other folks are doing that remind me of stuff I used to like doing, ya know? I got too many aches and pains to list them all and you don't wanna read them anyway, but we all like our dollies and "action figures" but I say I don't think I really belong here is because GI Joe is my 1st love. The Ultimate Soldier is my 2nd Love. Dragon is my 3rd. Cy Girls, etc., I think you see where this is going. I DID buy a TBLeague Girl this very week to check out these new-fangled seamless, smooth-skinned fems. Jury is still out on her in my book, but there it is. So...I'm an old curmudgeonly grandfatherly type that still plays with dollies--take it or leave it. If ya don't like, just say so and I'll go away. Hell, I might die anytime now due to being a mean ol' bassard that well deserves to die while you kids get on with yer lives.

You've only been working with Photoshop for a couple of years, and have picked it up on your own in your spare time? I had no idea! Impressive work you're doing!
And yeah, the blacksmith dio is impressive, with the glowing coals in the forge!
