Locked 'n Loaded

Hey folks, back again! I've been experimenting a bit more with some lighting and oven shots, so I figured I'd dust off one of my favourite troopers.

The above was through the oven window, just for fun. Thought it kinda worked for a grungry airlock type look.









These were accomplished with a couple cheap LED lights and an old army flashlight with a red lens on it being shone into the oven.

That worked out very well. But don't forget to take them out before you turn on the oven!

I like unconventional ideas fof backdrops etc.

Someone used a oponed pc tower for a space ship interior scene once, which was also quit clever

I love doing that kind of stuff. I used a computer motherboard as a computer panel for a rebel technician once, too. It's fun!

That looks so cool. I never would have known that was done in the oven if you hadn’t said anything — neat idea.

He looks excellent, and ready for action. Well done. I agree with Mark, great use of the oven! Who thought one could do more than cook in there!

Thanks man! haha yeah it can definitely be a versatile photography location.

And you just proved it! Are those twelfth-scale? Yep, versatile oven. Very nice scene.

Haha yep those are the 6" Neca figures. Slowly but surely working on revamping more of their webbing and such.

That is a cool shot! Ingenious idea to use the oven rack for the "ceiling" -- and love the xenomorph grabbing the guy from above. Great looking marines too.

Haha yeah when the lights come on the facehuggers scatter like roaches.

It's kinda amazing how much a little hockey tape and ribbon can transform those little plastic guys.

What a great Idea. Looks like a movie scene. Your Marine is amazing. Think that´s not the Original HS ? That one You choose gives the tough alien marine look to him. Great Work !

Your oven looks like a sci-fi spaceship, I see why wouldn't anyone take pictures in it. Great shots, specially through the glass, and cool dude too.

Ephiane, that's actually the head from a Punisher figure, but it fits the role of a Space Marine perfectly!
