This all started with a ebay search for something cool to purchase. In this case it was Action-Man Cars. Well I found those along with something new. A Dr X (villain) Chopper Motorcycle. It looked kinda lame, but that not the eyes we see with, right. I saw potential. SO I found one brand New in the box. The decals had not even been applied yet. SCORE!! Well after waiting for a few weeks to arrive from the UK. It was at my front door. Praise God! It sat the for a week or so, but I got to it this last Sunday. So here it is. I had a great time painting all the parts to make it look less toy like. What do you think? Please enjoy.

This is what it look like from the box...

I added the chrome engine part under the gas tank. I hate to see that space not filled.

Now lets see what it looks like with the figure one it. It all worthless if a figure doesn't look good sitting on it, right?

Well that's it. Now I have to figure which figure gets to ride this Bad Boy....

Looks like a good size, and a nice repaint. I’d consider checking out engines on actual bikes to take the opportunity to see what different paint apps to apply to the “chrome” pipes and engine parts.

Thanks I thought about painting the plug wires and spark plug covers. Not sure I have that kind of skill though.

Haha yeah good catch, looks great with Anakin (Harleykin? Cyberkin?) on it.

Did you paint the gas tank too? Looks great with the shine. Also like that over the top back wheel.

Also can relate to randomly looking on ebay for something cool and seeing potential gold in sh*t.

Thanks. Yes I did paint the gas tank  candy apple red with the silver sides. It was mostly black in color, even the engine. It had  very few purple parts. Thank goodness for the ebay score.

Thanks. If it were not for the ebay find, I didn't even know this was ever offered. I had never even seen it before. Glad I did though.

As you well know my friend. doing the mods is half the fun, right?

Funny, I just modified a remarkably cheap vehicle of a different, much more compact kind. Look for it in the Barbie Debarbiefied and Neck Tutorial (Andy seeks help body issue help) threads soon. Smile

This was suggest from a buddy on OSW. I think we have a winner on who gets the chopper. Plus I don't want to be the one who tells him he doesn't get it now.....

LOL They are not up yet, working on it right now. Although it won't hurt you to take a look at other threads. Wink

I agree, that is a badass look right there. Not that Harleykin looked bad in it, either. Maybe they can swap. Or maybe they can keep stealing it from each other. Smile

Lobo looks appropriate on that bike. Especially since it’s very anachronistic from normal bikes. Suits him well.

Man, I thought I liked this when I first saw it, but then with Lobo it just puts it totally over the top.  Not only because it's perfect for Lobo and so bada-s, but also on a stylistic level a comic character like Lobo justifies those stylistic simplifications and exaggerations that remain in the design despite your excellent upgrades.  I don't know that it needs, or woud benefit from any attempt to make it more detailed such as painting the plug wires and spark plug covers which you mention.  If you did want to do that, I'd suggest doing it with Gundam markers or similar, which  is a less skill-testing method.  But as I say, I think it's perfect as it is. GI Joe Dreadnoks would love this also.

Lots of great potential in these sci-fish or comic-bookish Action Man vehicles, or those Max Steel ones along similar lines.  One of my regrets is that I never got the Action Man Stealth Jet  F-117 (the one that launched the cocoon motorcycle).  I actually had one in hand at a toy shop in a small Italian town, but I couldn't figure out how to carry that huge box on trains etc, or eventually on the plane back to North America.  Should have figured something out...

Hey brother. You always give the best and most detail compliments.Your observance is 2nd to none my friend. Thanks so much. It is always appreciated. I did give it more thought about the plug wires and then remembered they do come steel braided so silver still works. Plus I don't have to risk messing up what I've dome already. It was flat black before all over. I think the silver Show Car Look. looks way better IMO.

It funny you mentioned that Action Man 117 jet. I purchased  one years ago, and like the chopper, never knew it existed till I saw it on an ebay search.  I got it for a really great price. I have seen quite a few new ones in the box on ebay lately. So give it another try and snag one buddy. Thanks again Moonbase Detective.

Nice job! And I love that you used 'Anakin' for the example pics, lol. The current dude does suit it even better though. Really great find! Very Happy

I wasn't sure he would even fit. It look a little work, but it was worth the effort.

That's a great upgrade. It's fantastic what a coat of paint can do to something like that.
