Of all the Stallone movies, they pick one of the worst. Well... at least it wasn't Stop, Or My Mom Will Shoot.

I think they have gone with popular movie image. I assume Rocky might be 3rd in line. Then it makes sense for Rambo (the follow up to First Blood) to be 4th. Then there is Rocky 2, Rocky 3, Rocky 4
What else does Stallone have to offer, movie wise, with a memorable image? ..i guess there is Rambo (the 4th movie)

My absolute first choice, and a great potential 1/6 figure, would be Demolition Man, no?

I have not watched Demolition Man. Maybe i should check it out.

Sylvester Stallone's Movie Rankings - Rocky being the no.1 apparently?
Rocky (1976)
First Blood (1982)
Rocky Balboa (2006)
The Expendables (2010)
The Expendables 3 (2014)
Rambo (2008)
Demolition Man (1993)
Rocky IV (1985)

I once attempted to watch The Expendables, and failed to get on with it.

Expendables is great fun after you have had a few drinks.

My first Stallone movies were Rambo II and Rambo III and I never really watched any Rocky movie.
Expendables were fun though

First Blood is easily the best Rambo movie. I thought the first three Rocky movies were equally good.

Saw that one only later and was good yeah. But as a teen, I loved the action of II and III Razz

Maybe it should give ti another try.

First Blood was the first Stallone movie i watched. It blew me away. Even today it rates as his best movie.
I have always liked Rocky 3 and Rocky 4. Rocky 1 is classic.

A Rocky figure might never happen, as it would require too many ugly visible seams/joints. A seamless silicone body would probably cost more than they are willing to go. I doubt many would want to see an off the shelf body put to use.

I was addressing specifically the question, "What else does Stallone have to offer, movie wise, with a memorable image?" to come up with Demolition Man because the John Spartan police uniform is visually distinctive.  (I do recommend the movie, it's possibly the cleverest script of anything Sly is in).  By the same "visual appeal" logic I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Judge Dredd -- frustrating movie, but Sly's Dredd uniform visually looks fantastic.  It has the makings of a great 1/6 figure but it's been done already by VTS.

A bit offtopic, but I always wonder why they write this:

Over 28? How many is it, 29, 30, 50? Shouldn't be too hard to say it.

I doubt many collectors really care. Most expect movement to occur in all the usual places.

It’s usually a misleading phrasing. What it should say is “28 points of articulation” — period. I’ve rarely been able to find any extra regardless of what number they give.

"X points of articulation" is not exact math or specific language. For example on a typical action figure shoulder you can count the rotation pivot as "one point" and the in-out hinge as "one point" more, and you could get a third point out of it if it has butterfly shoulders -- but some people think of all of that as just the shoulder being one point.  There's no official consensus whether double elbows or knees count as one point or two.  Is a neck tilt + rotation one point, or two? Same question for a rotating + hinged wrist.

Typically for a "5 points of articulation" figure, we all know what it means, but on an "Over 28 points" etc, figure, we just get the legitimate general sense it will basically do what you may expect it to, but no, you couldn't just do an excel list of the exact 28 points.  It's not an exact science or language, and no manufacturer wants to be called out for exaggeration or false advertising,  So usually "Over X points" gets the general point across.

Actually, there is a Rocky 45th Anniversary figure out right now by StarAce (due February 2023) which indeed "uses a 30cm custom seamless body designed specifically for this character" as advertised.  https://www.toys2.net/star-ace-rocky-balboa-deluxe-version-.html.  Somewhat oddly, after taking all the trouble to give him a specific Rocky seamless body, they only have him fully covered-up in street clothes with a black jacket, jeans, and a t-shirt.  No stripped promo images of the body.  And no boxing trunks, gloves or shoes are included so I assume there must be a forthcoming Boxing Ring version scheduled for the future.  It's evidently a Licensed figure, but not one made or put out by this Stallone Legacy Collection, probably due to quirks of copyright.

Seamless body full covered up?
Fails to make sense.

I seriously doubt Stallone's company will produce any Rocky related product as he don't own any licensing on Rocky... He stated it several times, and is still bitter and angry at MGM and especially Irwin Winkler, that have the ownership of the Rocky franchise (despite the fact Stallone created the character, wrote the 3 first movies, and directed 3 of them)
He recently raised the controversy again in the Variety magazine and on social medias, tho he deleted his posts quite quickly...

I recall... Well, maybe they are still working on said seamless body, and so are avoiding showing what does not yet exist.

I had almost forgotten this movie. It really was awful! I think Stop or my mom, was actually marginally better! Lol

Speaking of 80's action cr*p-fests, Raw Deal was on TV the other day...wow! That movie was MUCH worse than I remember.
I'm sure those 80s action star movies, were considered good at one point? They have not aged well!
I'm tempted to watch Cobra now, just see how bad it seems in 2022.
