Very cool. I like the purple accents. Slick.

Ovy wrote:Jon Bernthal in an Iron Man suit would be unstoppable. Only old age and writing could beat him.
As with all your work, there are too many great things to point out. But the spongework on that chestskull really ties the suit together.
Stryker2011 wrote:He certainly looks beat up, that’s for sure. Nice job on the skulls and weathering. That helmet is scary now.
GubernatorFan wrote:Actually I think it looks great, even if I already liked the old look. As Stryker noted, the helmet is now scarier, which is probably a bonus for the character.

I often have to wait to comment on your threads til closer to the end, as I find it easier to understand if I sort of go backwards through it. Otherwise all the bits and pieces are super confusing and I'm not always sure what I'm looking at, lol. But of course it always turns out amazing!

Your explanations are very helpful, don't worry! It's just my eyes when it comes to looking at the unfinished armour pieces, especially in instances when I'm not as familiar with the source material. ;pskywalkersaga wrote:Wow, this is looking so cool. Oh I kind of hoped I was explaining it well enough with pics and literary commentary. Ladies really find Jon Bernthal attractive? Interesting to know.

And yes, ladies with good taste, at least.
GubernatorFan wrote:Wow that was major surgery right there. Was it so absolutely necessary/worth it to reduce his height? (If that's what happened in the end, I'm a little confused.) At any rate, impressive work putting him back together. The use of bits of model sprue in this manner is just brilliant, and speaks to your well-attested inventiveness.
Stryker2011 wrote:Interesting adjustments, Alex. I applaud your desire to make the height consistent.
Stryker2011 wrote:Hmmm, yeah, I agree. The top of the skull seems wide, and a bit deformed — makes it more Sci-Fi to me, and less “scary”.
GubernatorFan wrote:Nice progress. Is this before or after the hair swap?

I thought so, but if not, I would have said it looked absolutely seamless. Looking forward to see how you handle this delicate transplant.
Stryker2011 wrote:Brilliant. I never would have guessed you redid the hair.
GubernatorFan wrote:I think once painted it will look flawless. Well done.
