Thanks for confirming my suspicions regarding the boots, nhwioz. :/

And yes, painting boots a different colour is usually no problem, I do it all the time. The main issue here is moreso the style -- I need boots that are less 'fashion', and more 'functional'. I'm currently thinking I might just have to pick up a couple of these and mod them accordingly:

My only hesitation is with regard to the size.... does anyone have these boots, and if so, do you know if they are on the larger side? I will probably modify them and use only the bottom foot part, but I'm just trying to avoid them ending up looking like clodhoppers, especially on the s27b. Razz

I used those boots on my Aurra Sing custom. I think they’re fine on the Lady Death body.

Thanks, Stryker. I should probably try to see if I can make those work, since I already have several pairs of them, rather than purchasing yet others sight-unseen. They look awesome on your Aurra Sing figure, and so far they are the best ones I can find that suit the character I'm working on. It's just the peg on the inside that is too big for the petite tbleague bodies.... but perhaps I can pad it out either with foam or something stiffer to make it more stable.

Try covering the ball joint with electrical tape as tight as possible until you get the right thickness.

Electrical tape had not even crossed my mind.... d'oh! Thanks for the tip.

Those brown boots look like a KO shortened version of Hot Toys RE Alice's knee-high boots. I'm not sure if they're from the same manufacturer but I just received the KO HT Alice knee-high boots and was surprised to find out its ALL HOLLOW INSIDE! Not beets like the orig HT.
I tried it on a regular TBL body and its tight so no ankle peg joint needed actually, but some mods need to be done if using with the smaller TBL bodies.

I also bought the 2-piece boots (post#20) which are KO versions of Scarlet Witch Civil War, which are beets and put them on a Lady Death body. The Right angle peg was a bit loose so i used tape wrapped around the steel peg to make the joint tighter, same as what Stryker suggested, but i use masking tape because electrical tape adhesive melts into goo here in our country.

Thanks for the added info, rollotomasi! I believe they are indeed by the same manufacturer as the other KO boots that you mentioned. I hadn't tried the KO Scarlett Witch boots yet for the very fact that I couldn't physically get them to work, but I'll try taping the s25b/s27b pegs and see if that helps at all.  Would be nice if I didn't have to buy yet more boots that then turn out not to work either. ;p

Random question for GF regarding the above Super Duck 'Wolf Girl' head sculpt with the black hair -- from the pics it looks like it matches pretty well with the tbleague suntan skintone, is that correct? I ask simply because I know that often Super Duck heads are made to go with pale tbleague bodies, so I thought I'd better check just in case.

Yes, I think it matches -- my photos usually exaggerate such differences, so it must be close enough to look about right.

I actually use plumber's tape so I don't have to deal with adhesive if I decide to remove it.

Will consider plumber's tape instead -- mainly because I had a bad experience with the adhesive on some tape melting in the heat this summer during our house move and ruining one of my custom figures. Sad

Ive been looking for a head for my new s23a and came across this and preordered it. Shes a little creepy but the perfect fit and recommended body is s23a.

A few pics of my figs using the S26/27 body:

Both figures are on TBLeague (formerly Phicen) S26A bodies. Sally (left) uses a FireGirl FG071C headsculpt. Nicci (right) is a Kumik 13-20 sculpt.

I'll try to get some better pics, and some "bare shoulders" pics, to better illustrate the head-body ratio.

I really like this one. Matches quite well and looks very 'youthful'. Smile

That's a wonderful outfit. It looks like I got the same boots for Lexi, but in red, a few months ago.
But does anybody use a phonebooth these days?

Thanks a lot for posting this!
I cannot imagine myself to ever use one of the very small TBLeague bodies myself (24/25 are just small enough for me), but if I were or if I considered getting one, threads like this are so incredibly helpful.

Very well done, davidd, all the more so, given the challenge posed by that extra petite body.

So far we have shied away from using the S26/27 because it is difficult to find heads. This is a nice overview that it is possible. An additional advantage is of course that Barbie clothes fit these bodies very well.

Those are some beautiful creations! I especially like the last one, just because I don't care for the girly look. Nice use of that head sculpt! Did you have to work it a lot to fit the TBL body?

If you mean the Kumik head on the TBL body, not much work at all. A few wraps of teflon tape (plumbers tape) around the neck ball is all.

Ah okay! Nice. I have a Kumik head, but there isn't enough space for the neck peg depth wise. The head sits too high with a gap of about 3mm between neck and the base of the head.

Maybe it's possible to drill a bigger hole? Or if the HS is made as the TBLeague HS's, you can maybe part the two halves and insert a deeper tube.

I will take a closer look later and see what I did about that. Seems like most heads require some tinkering to get a good fit.

Thank you for the height comparison! I was about to ask what the measurements for those bodies are but this will do quite fine.
If theres one thing I hate when buying TBLeague bodies, it's that you never have any idea how tall or short they will be. All they have is their weird numbering system which is really confusing, at least for me. :S
Anyone know how the S26S stacks up beside the S12D height wise? They both looks like shorter bodies but wondering what the actual difference in height is.
