Tbleague is always fast, isn't it?

This is a set I really like but couldn't click the buy button so far Cool

Yeah, they seem to have quite a short time between announcements and releases these days. I have no desire for this figure, but I do want the body. :3

I just received an invoice for it. Dang, I liked the brown armor colour more but already got too many sword+shield figures, so I went with the black version with a spear and that sick shield to use on another figure.

I think this body is a S22A or S23B. The breasts' size look the same and it was the body they used in most covered up figures.

Just got my invoice today as well. I'm getting the black armored version.

LOL. Well, I'm making an assumption that it's the newer mold with the smaller bust, but who knows, will have to see...

Saw this on BBS, it's the gold/red version's head. Looks like a really nice head from TBLeague. They seem to be stepping up the quality of their headsculpts in the last year or so. Might have to pick this one up from ebay if it's not too expensive.

Wow I love the long haired one! I just saw a review for her -> https://bbs.bbicn.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=372247

In my very limited space, I think she's one worth to have! Beautiful face, beautiful costume, her movements don't seem to be hindered by her armor at all, really awesome!

That Review looks really nice. I wonder if it is possible to exchange her shoes with the shoes of the Imperial Guardian.

They made the face less longer and jaw less pointy. I thought the original looked fine but I don't mind this change.

She's brushing her hair aside, NOT punching herself in the face Laughing

The head is indeed very nice, but probably a little too intense in the expression for me. Also, based on the video, the body does seem to be just the regular s23b, rather than the 'Month' one. Glad I didn't end up pre-ordering it....

I know this is probably just the 1/12 collector in me, but all of those hanging strings/laces would drive me crazy. Clipping them like he did in the video would drive me even crazier because I would probably keep thinking “just a little bit more” until I had gone one clip too far.

Same guy put up a review for the other one. Kinda looks like an older Arya Stark doesn't it?

In any case, I really like it. I'll probably try to grab the other one too.

Youtube review. I don't understand Chinese but you can look the picture.

Looks cool, prolly one of the best Tbleague set ever released. I love the intricate armor design and chainmail suit, looks great and compliment each other. Head looks pretty while still show a rigid strong characteristic.

Prolly some people don;t like the heel but I have no problem. It's compliment feminity of the figure.

But it doesn't work in combat at all and this is supposed to be a warrior. Very Happy

Something like the Silver Valkyrie footwear would have at least been a little bit better...

It's getting parted out on ebay now. Headsculpts seem to be going for $70, and the body appears to be the standard s23.

gooboo

Sigh... now the long haired version is at $90. Guess I won't be getting that one after all.

I don’t know why TB League doesn’t do a larger production run on the heads compared to everything else and sell them separately.  Seems like a lost opportunity for a nice revenue stream to me.

But then I’m still getting used to collecting this style of figure, so I have no idea what the incremental production costs would be.

Crap. These were an easy pass for me based on the promos, but the black version looks great in that video and now I'm gonna have to buy it.

The long-haired (Golden) sculpt is gorgeous (I like that intensity) but the prices for it are absolutely crazy. The other sculpt seems 'off' in some unfathomable way.

Sculpts aside, I don't really care for this latest run of armoured figures which aren't that far removed from the rest of TBL's long run of fantasy warrior women. I really wish they would do at least a few more 'ordinary' costumed figure sets like Nancy In Hell.

I may pick up one of the bodysuits, though.

Agreed. I have nothing against fantasy characters in theory, but more often than not the aesthetics that tbleague uses for their 'original' fantasy figures aren't my thing at all.

Nancy in Hell and Kier Valkyrie remain my top fave tbleague figures, sigh...

Painkiller Jane, Keir and Gethsemone were all very tempting at various points, but Nancy is actually the only full TBL set that had enough of interest in it (coinciding with enough spare funds) to make me buy it all in one go Shocked

Otherwise I've been kitbashing more 'everyday' figures using TBL loose parts all the way. Although even the Vampirella I've got on a seemingly eternal backburner is an ongoing kitbash starting from when I first got into seamless figures. TBL's League Of Impractically Sexualised Armoured Warrior Babes(TM) line holds absolutely no interest for me personally as full sets (aside from maybe the 'scars' version of Red Sonja but that was still mainly for the head sculpt and the unique body, and then I only ended up getting the sculpt and a few loose parts).

Even the 'Egyptianese' sets which I would be potentially more interested in (the entirely fantastical comic-based 'Cleo' definitely does not count as one of those though Laughing ) don't seem to entirely work, even with their basic historical/mythological/technical inaccuracies and ethnic questionability handwaved aside (let's look at the floppy feet and non-removable headpiece of the Nefertiti figure, for just one example).

There just seems to be a real paucity of ideas in TBL's 'original concept' sets of late (Back On Topic: this one being no exception). I'm not surprised some of the sets seem to now be being withdrawn or delayed from release.

I don’t disagree at all that TBLeague seems to lack imagination, at least thematically. They still seem to be selling well enough, though. I decided to get my feet wet in 1/6 again by picking up a couple of the Spartan Commanders, and while they’re certainly not impossible to still find on the primary market, most vendors I checked had sold out of the gold and black versions or were awaiting more stock. (I ended up getting them from Ekia). The silver version isn’t moving too well.

It will be interesting to see how the Defenders and the Knights perform, though. The price tag is definitely an issue, especially for someone coming from the 1/12 scale. 1/6 figures are going to have to be more of a special treat than a regular part of my collecting diet.

The shoulder armor was pretty easy, however, the neck armor, used up most of my time. It has the same fasterner as the shoulder armor, but boy, it was so difficult to hook up! I have to use 2 pincers to try and try. Finally succeeded! Phew!

With the cloak, the sheath and the shield. The sheath is tied around the waist with a simple belting mechanism, but it is also not easy to belt on, as it is so small. A pincer will help.

I usually do not go for a fully covered figure from Tbleague, but this figure is pretty gorgeous.
