Wonderpants wrote:Thanks, was hoping for an option that didn’t involve rooted hair (probably better to hire someone with more experience and skill than me to do it, all things considered), but if there’s no other way..

There are some cheap synthetic 'wigs' (actually hairpieces) intended for 1/6 scale heads. But they do require pulling off the back of the headsculpt and replacing it with the 'wig'. If you search for '1/6 scale wig' on ebay you'll find an array of options. The only issue with these is that they don't always fit 100% exactly onto the intended headsculpt (because of variations in 1/6 headsculpt sizes and shapes), so you may need to do some adjustment on them. But they are 'easier' than the custom rooted/glued hair route, if you aren't feeling up to trying that yourself yet.

Hi, does anyone know where I could buy these or similar 1:6 scale Adidas boots? It’s from an aggregate style web page, and the links don’t work. The actual seller (toysisland) may be from eBay.

Sorry, Wonderpants... I am very unfamiliar with 1/6 scale men's footware. Hopefully someone else can help?

I have a question of my own, and that is... has anyone ever encountered a 1/6 scale men's white blouse in Victorian/Edwardian/Gothic/Steampunk style? The only formal white shirts for male figures I can find are generic modern dress shirts, which just don't have the look I'm going for. I've also tried looking at official boxed figures to see if any had something I could kitbash, but either the 'shirt' in question turned out to be just a dickie and not an actual shirt, or it was the wrong colour. I'm guessing it might not exist, but still thought it was worth asking in case...

Have you looked at Vampire Edward parts? Not sure if this is what you are looking for...

Thanks for that! I just assumed there wasn't actually a shirt under there, glad I was wrong... Please help me find... (continuously updated) - Page 24 1f605

Have no idea if it would fit, but definitely worth a try...

I hope you can find it for a cheaper price. Crazy what we can pay for such tiny parts.
Otherwise it would make sense to buy the whole figure. Razz

Yeah, it's frustrating there's no actual outfits of that nature being made for us customisers. The closest was that Peaker Blinders set, but it's a little later time period than what I was going for.

I may have to get that full Brad Pitt figure at some point, as there's a serious dearth of 18th (and 19th) century clothing -- really, any historical clothing that isn't either for soldiers or western figures, and even those are few and far between.

I have no knowledge of Adidas branded products, but they are maybe similar styles:

I haven't bought either of these products yet, but they have good reviews.

Thanks, did actually find someone selling Adidas style boots on aliexpress. Only problem is that the black ones have red stripes, not white, but maybe with a bit of painting..

Can anyone recommend some fishnet stockings matching the ones below? I’ve looked on eBay, etc, but it’s a minefield trying to pick a suitable pair on the basis of often blurry stock pictures.

Wonderpants --

Try these perhaps?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132660749482?var=431990921046&hash=item1ee33264aa:g:o0UAAOSw4aZbIA-1

The tights are confusing to search for, as they don't show up under the usual terms I would think to use. What I'd normally search for would be 'fishnet tights', but nothing came up under that. In the end, I found this one by trying '1/6 scale lace tights' or '1/6 scale mesh tights'.

Thanks, they do look pretty dark though

Although not a redhead, I think the resemblance to her face is pretty good:

If you are interested, I can take a photo of my own piece from a different angle at the end of the week.

Thanks, not seeing a resemblance in the face sculpt myself though

What do you mean? They are black fishnet tights, just like the ones you are looking for....

Never mind, I guess i can see what you mean. I'm not sure why there are no proper fishnet tights available, as there normally are. Try AliExpress if ebay is not turning up anything.

I know it will be hard to find an exact match, but I wonder about tbleague's Pain Killer Jane? The headsculpt on that might work...

Though it may not be readily available as it's an older figure. But it's the closest I could come up with...

Say does anyone know where I can find a lab coat or similar? Or some futuristic looking science outfit and gear?

US colonels insignia can be found on Battlgear Toys.

General's stars are harder. Every now and again a DiD US Marine general appears parted out on Monkey Depot and you can get a sets of four metal stars for the dress uniform, but not the subdued collar insignia for field uniforms.  I got two sets a while back, but have yet to place them on a figure.

This being said, I chiefly use British / Canadian rank insignia for my officers and these are readily available from 2nd Lt to Full general from Tony at Antheads Co

Lab coats are somewhat challenging to find. One of the guys on the AMMO forum had a 1/6 scale lab coat custom made by somebody on Etsy.

Depends on what figure you're trying to fit, of course. Barbie doctor's coat will fit slim TBLeague bodies like the S36/37:

Does anyone know who could make a custom pair of Adidas boxing boots similar to the ones below, scaled to a female body? I’ve looked on google, aliexpress, etc, several times without luck

If you have something very specific in mind but can't find anything that suits, you may think about commissioning something....though of course that can get quite expensive, depending on what artist you use. But otherwise you will either have to make do with something less than exact, or do a lot of customising work yourself on it to make it look how you want. Sometimes the person or character you are trying to recreate is too specific to use a generic or celebrity sculpt, so it's something to consider.

ETA: Even if you don't want to commission a complete headsculpt from scratch, you could consider having an existing one professionally repainted to look more like how you want.

I own the figure called Vicky from Damtoys.

I do really like the figure but this figure has an issue which I would like to deal with. The lack of hands.

Please help me find... (continuously updated) - Page 24 20190310

Vicky only got A gun hooking right and a hooking left hand. I would really like to have more hand poses. Is someone aware and can recommend female hands with the same gloved style?

venator5

venator5
Just for a question.

Using male gloved hands would be out of scale? Would it be a good idea?

ZeroDelta

ZeroDelta
Well, I think any hands gloved or otherwise, that use the same or similar wrist pegs that DAM uses should work and I have seen male glove hands who are rather smallish and there are also sets of gloved female hands out there.
