I’ve seen some people use a mix of watered down super glue with red paint to creat a dripping effect; that might be cool.

Of course, do you know what kind she was wearing during the filming of this scene? Just kidding. But it's an impressively detailed bash anyway.

I should have known you based this on research! And no, I didn't imagine these would restrict articulation. In principle, I'd strive to preserve articulation whether it is "needed" for a particular look or not. For example, let's say we recreate a background character who is only seen onscreen just standing there, never sitting or anything requiring articulation -- I'd still make him or her a fully-poseable figure. So I was speaking generally. Hot Toys, in particular, has been stuffing padded undergarments (admittedly much more extensive than a pair of panties) on many of their figures, ostensibly to have them look more natural with the clothes on. There is a point to this (for example, the pants of Sideshow's otherwise very nice Vader creased oddly at the hips), though in most instances it seems to be pretty unnecessary, while often severely hampering the range of motion. I've noticed that in some recent releases they have modified the padded undergarments to reduce this effect.

Funny enough I ordered these gloves too (in September 2020) and they have just arrived these days... fortunately I did not need them for a particular project. Just wanted them for the storage
Stryker2011 wrote:They work great. I think the hands must specifically have been designed for TBL bodies — I had zero issues putting them on my Zatanna figure — they fit like a glove (pun intended).
Ovy wrote:Nice, welcome to the club of gloved VS hand owners! They did deliver after all and yes they are great for the little metal joints.
I am sure your blood effect will turn out great. Someone used a similar technique for a werewolf here once, if I remember correctly.
Btw, do you know Kairo/Pulse by Kiyoshi Kurosawa?
GubernatorFan wrote:I was not sure how this whole blood drip thing was going to work out, but I have got to say I am impressed. I know it did not work quite as you wanted, but still pretty good.
Stryker2011 wrote:The blood effect looks pretty good already.
