Thanks. It's about the best i can do.
One small problem, the left and right drips point out left and right respectively rather than 100% downwards. No big deal Very Happy

Took some photo's today.

Added the blue effect, as a similar filter effect appears during the movie.

I spent a while messing around with Asami's hairstyle. Tucking the hair behind the left ear was not an option, so i combed the hair back over the left ear. I did have a crack at attempting the long section that hangs downwards on right side. It is narrower than it should be, but it works Smile

I am still not happy with the way the 3 beige straps fail to pull the black apron in at the front. The 1mm black rubber used on the apron is too thick.

I would consider using thin vinyl (if you can find some that is not shiny) for the apron, as it will scrunch better at the straps -- or cinch in.

I could do, but it is not going to happen. Too much work involved in making that apron Very Happy
The plan is to try some new poses out and take some photo's Smile
Other than the base, i am 99% done with Asami. Who know's, maybe in the future i might upgrade the portrait, although i have grown to like the one i used.

..not to mention, i want to get back to Alex Nurse Price from An American Werewolf in London

Your dedication to accuracy is always great to see, so much time spent to do it right, I guess even minor inaccuracies will trigger
your perfectionism.

The photos with the blueish grainy filter look wonderful, like filmstills.

It really turned out amazing!! I think she looks suitably menacing and deadly. And the blood effect is just great, a very good solution.

I didn't notice the issue with the apron until you mentioned it. But if it's truly bothering you, rather than remake it (though of course that is a solution, too), you could try to pull the apron tighter using some other means... like with a string or some thin ribbon or something, and then cover that up with the beige straps so it's not visible underneath.

Thanks.

Given every other aspect is amounts to 'inspired by' without being 100% accurate, i will leave the apron as is. In some ways, the thick rubber apron has it's own qualities, as they are probably uncomfortable to wear, and that's what i see when i look at the figure.
..sounds like i am making excuses? :lol@

LOL, it's fine -- I only offer suggestions, but ultimately it's your figure and I totally get it that sometimes one just needs to be 'done' with a figure after a certain point.

I knocked together a little video today using what photo's i had. It killed some time in these
Covid times..
Watching the video serves as a reminder - i should find a way to improve the hair situation.

Project - Asami Yamazaki (from Audition) - Page 8 Asami-Hot-Toys-base
LOADING: Image(s)

Been working on a base. I started with a used Hot Toys stand (from ebay). It belonged to Wolverine
Attached some felt to the base to represent carpet. The felt could use de_fluffing.
Added some blood splatter. More blood might be added to the middle of the large section.
Printed to paper ASAMI YAMAZAKI and glued that into place.
The black metal adjustable rod at the back had the ends chopped off and inserted upside-down. While it has lost the ability to hold
the figure in place, it does serve the purpose of stopping Asami toppling backwards. Given the boots Asami wears, the figure is quite stable.

Very nice idea using the felt, and I agree a bit more blood splatter would be a good idea — maybe not necessarily a ton, but more “spray” droplets...?

Thanks.
Most of the small dots were created using a toothpick. The felt sucks up the paint, which is a slight issue, as it can blur small dots of paint.

Slightly more blood-splatter added.

Using a foot + some FIMO modeling clay, i set about making an amputated foot.
FIMO has to be baked at 110 degrees for 30 minutes to cure it. Lucky enough, the plastic foot survived the heat.

If this was a Hot Toys figure, the idea would be for the end user to place the foot where he/she likes.

I think i am done with this project. I might work on Asami's hair some more at some point and take some photo's Smile

For anyone wanting to watch Audition, it is now available on Blu-ray. Be warned, it is a slow movie with one or two shocking disturbing scenes, and might leave you feeling confused.

Audition may not be my thing, but your project and the effort you put into it was remarkable, as are the results. I look forward to the final photos in all their gory glory. To avoid potential damage to plastic parts and the whole baking thing, there are air-drying clay and "green stuff" that you could have used instead of FIMO -- I am assuming you were filling up the hole in the foot?

Correct. I filled the hole and added some height to form a small part of the lower leg. Then blended it onto the foot. I painted the foot and the set clay in a slightly darker skin shade. The blood red paint helped blend it further. Clear lacquer was added to the toe-nails.

Here is the other foot:

Good call on building up the foot, it makes sense -- like all your other decisions.

I am an amateur at best. I am happy with the results, considering the amount of off the shelf kitbash parts involved.
