S36/S37 and S40/S41 bodies are unrealistic.

These are “manga” bodies.

Not the best comparison since the S36/S37 and S40/S41 were advertised as such. And by that I mean "anime" styled bodies.

I did not know

I agree there are many realistic bodies. Just mostly ideal ones.
But I also agree that of course there are many body types - the most common ones - missing. There is just no body that serves as a good replacement for Gal Godot's Wonder Woman for example. Hot Toys did a really good job on sculpting that (though not on the articulation). It would be great to have more average options with wider waists, which the S29B comes pretty close to. It is still among my favourites.

I don't know all the bodies, and it's true that from what I was able to see, it is the most realistic

The S28-29 is one of my favorites, too. It not only has a fuller shape, but also a slightly shorter stature, which is, once again, making it more representative of a more common or average look.

Hello again. I know these reviews were done quite a few years ago now so you will have to search your memory to hopefully help me out! The TBLeague M30 at the top of the page with the bald head sculpt on it....well I have both of these but I cannot fit the head sculpt onto the metal ball with the plastic insert as it makes the head sculpt sit too high so I just have it pushed down over the neck without the insert....can you remember how you fitted your one? Does it require a different insert or is this one where I should remove some plastic from inside the head using a Dremel? Any suggestion would be helpful, and thanks for all the information on the male TBLeague dolls....I bought the M30 and the same head sculpt because of your photo as they match so well. Have a great day, regards Paul

Hi Paul,

I don't have it handy to double-check, but I bet I removed the inside neck connector/adaptor and replaced it with a curved piece of thick foamie, allowing for a more adjustable but reasonably good fit. Sometimes these inside neck connectors are loose or can be pried out without Dremeling them out -- which is a last resort, if they are impossible to remove otherwise. Some of this is covered HERE.

Depending on the look with the specific head, I might also have stuffed the neck with a small curved piece interposed between the outer "skin/flesh" and the steel neck post.

As for the skin tone, what is pictured is probably one of the early batches of these bodies, which had a strange greyish skin tone; recent batches are probably more in line with their current male "suntan" skintone, which is darker than the female "suntan."

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information and I looked up your tutorials on the neck issues and now feel I can resolve the problem using a piece of foam. Have a great day, regards Paul

if tall and small breast would be S46.

S32 is narrow shoulder with medium bust

The 46/47 I bought several. Contrary to what is written on the box, she has normal breasts (if we base ourselves on a real woman), like the S16/17 body, even though it says medium breasts.
The S46/47 and the 16/17 have equivalent breasts.
But the S46/46 has more butt than the s16/17.
The 16/17 has a thinner body than the S46/47
If you want a more realistic woman, take an S46/47, if you want a woman with a slim waist, take an S16/17.
I'm telling you about the bodies I know, maybe there are better ones.

Spoiler:

here is a table with the different proportions. I copied it from a site. The unit of measurement is the centimeter

Merci French !
I use a lot of male clothes to dress my female figures, and they are usually taller, so S46 looks like the good choice.

Is this the size chart from Giantoy ?

French

I don't know anymore, I copied it from the internet.
Just see if it's the same because it's a screenshot.
I also use men's clothes, because often women's clothes are tight. It hinders a creation when the theme is not sexy

I'd love if the companies that make seamless bodies would make, at least one male overweight body.
For diversity. I want a chubby, big belly guy.

I think WorldBox makes these (AT018), but it's not seamless.

TBLeague did have plans for an overweight guy, and he was previewed at some public events -- somewhere on the forum there are photos of the figure. However, as far as I know, this hasn't been announced for pre-order, much less produced. They've done a great job with new bodies for Iconiq Studios (unfortunately, Iconiq owns them so they are not available as base bodies from TBLeague), but TBLeague is lagging behind on new base bodies, especially male ones.

Correct. The only bona fide chubby body out there, so it is used even when it is not quite right.
This was the body employed, for example, by Woo Toys' Fat Viking/Fat Thor set (see my review HERE).

I'm a little late to the party, but I can't ignore the opportunity to post this comparison chart once more, since it is very useful but hard to find. ^^

I created this TBLeague body comparison chart, using the official TBL images, but adjusting the size to be true relative to one another according to the official height specifications by TBL.

According to this, the S43B and the S53B are the tallest.

But here is a great video comparing S42A with S52A and the S52A seems taller, and the proportions are noticeably different:

Yes. I have seen that one, and I think it's beautifully done. But I really like seamless bodies since I started using them.
It's a shame, that it's been a few years since they released a new male body shape. I wish I knew how to cast like I saw another member of the forum do with a M34.
I think there would be a market for seamless heavy guys' bodies in the collector's midst.

They are not chubby in the way you're thinking, perhaps, but here are two special bodies TBLeague designed and made on behalf of Iconiq Studios. Unfortunately, they are not available as base bodies, and hard to come by.

Muhammad Ali (also shows up HERE and HERE, recolored)

The S52A looks taller. I like it a lot! Although the curves on the S42A are prettier to me.
