I believe you may be correct in that being the S10D they swapped to.

That would be awesome, thanks!

You are welcome, Adeno, I hope it helps. I know nothing about Tifas (although somewhere I have one of the earlier heads), and it's often hard to tell what body is what. But I see what you mean. There are now several petite or slightly petite bodies (S24-25, S28-29) that might be both large and petite enough to work with the head. I imagine that on the bodies smaller than those, the head would look disproportionately large.

I updated my post #35 on this thread with a better layout, more consistent numbers across the bodies, some additional bodies (s23b and m34) and some IRL comparison and a couple just bad jokes though I thought they were funny.

Thank you, MMI, I added links in the appropriate places. Funny stuff.

Theoretical question.  If I’m having an issue with skirts riding up on S10D, would moving to a S22A solve the problem?  Here’s my rationale.

The waist on the 23B is 3mm bigger, and the waist width is 2mm bigger, but the hips are 7mm smaller, and I believe where the skirt naturally sits has more to do with the hips than the waist, because the belt around the waist is supposed to keep the skirt from falling down, not from riding up, right?

I'm not sure how it will work in practice, but looking at the body shape, there is more of an "indent" below the "love handles" (if we can call them that) on the 22A/23B body, and that might help the skirt stay put, if you can make its waistline go right there.

I got a new body from the knight of fire set (similar to if not same as viking woman), and can confirm that it has a problem with some fire girl clothes, but I got a shooter set to fit. TBLeague / Phicen Seamless Bodies with Steel Skeleton Catalog (updated continually) - Page 4 20211011

Glad you were able to clothe her successfully (there is also the Clothing TBLeague thread). Looks like you might want to remove the internal neck connector to make the head sit lower?

Hey Gub, any odds I can get chest, shoulder width, and waist measurements for M35? I want to make a hoodie pattern that's usable on bodies of that size, and I don't own one myself to get those figures. Thanks!

I can't swear to the accuracy or consistency of my measurement, but here is what I got for M35, using this diagram again:

TBLeague / Phicen Seamless Bodies with Steel Skeleton Catalog (updated continually) - Page 4 Measm310

Chest: (circumference) 21.5 cm
Waist: (circumference) 16 cm
Lower Waist: (circumference) 18 cm
Sleeve: 10 cm
(Note: biceps circumference: 8 cm)
Shoulders: 9 cm
Back Length: 12 cm

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much. I was thinking I'd just have to add maybe 1/4 inch to the pattern all around, but wow! I would've been way off. The measurements for the jacket I'm using to create the pattern are about 30% smaller than the m35. No wonder it's so damn hard to clothe those guys.

You are very welcome, and good luck. Will be interested to see what you make. Also, if you have a choice, I suppose it is a good idea to go for stretchy fabrics.

Reading back through the thread, the recent late appearance of the S40/41 body (well after the release of S44/45) makes me wonder if we'll eventually see the still-missing S30/31 one fine day...

Maybe that was the 'Supervoluptuous' body from the Wonder Convention (would have been a logical follow-on from S28/29), or an early stab at Viking Woman, and for whatever reason it was left behind?

It did occur to me to wonder the same thing (minus the specifics), but then I remembered I have given up on trying to figure out TBLeague's reasoning. While I realize I'm not their only target audience, so much time passes with them making things I don't care about, that I'm just pleasantly surprised when something interesting finally comes about. I am looking forward to that new body, though I do wish it were a bit shorter.

Anyone, is there an actual picture of tbl s40/41? Or a video review? The product is out already but havent seen anyone who reviews it. I plan to buy one. I've asked the seller of the actual picture but the headsculpt doesnt match the looks of the pictures on the internet.

If you mean an in-hand photo, I can't help you. But GianToy still has it as pre-order, so I don't know if it is released. Here are their links:

For applying tattoos to the male bodies, would water slide decals work? Also, would it be possible to modify the neck peg to fit a Soldier Story head? I’d use adapters, but none of the DAM, Easy and Simple, or generic phicen adapters can fit in the neck hole. I’d either have to wide the hole, the default neck peg sleeve, or the neck peg themselves.

Water slides do work. However, they remain “shiny”, and you have to put them somewhere flat where the skin isn’t forced to “flex” or stretch, as that will cause the decal to tear and crack. Not really a very good option unless you plan to never change their pose.

I would widen the hole on the head sculpt enough to use a neck peg adapter (since the adapters are rubber, or softer plastic, and give the best connection to prevent the head from falling off. I know others have done other things, but I don’t find those other options half as stable or secure).

If water slides won’t work, then what will? As for the bodies I intend to use, they are the M30 for my DEVGRU pointman figure and the M35 for the DEVGRU machine gunner. Though the M30 is shorter, with the additional 4cm in height from its headsculpt and the addition of a 2-3cm plastic height extended on the ankles, it should be able to reach 33.02 inches, which in 1/1 scale equates to 6’5. If that math doesn’t actually check out though, I’d likely need to switch over to the M34 instead to achieve that height.

Keep in mind that M34 is just slightly taller than M35 (although that one is bulkier).

How complex is your tattoo design? For something fairly simple and in readily available colors, a viable option may be to draw it on with the thinner tips of the Gundam Real Touch Markers. Read the posts carefully for the proper technique (or explore the painting seamless bodies tutorial more fully) --

If you are going to use a neck adapter, go for the softest plastic you can find. Warm with a hair dryer if needed. Personally, I've tired of trying to deal with the partial or full incompatibilities between such pieces, and generally set them aside, using a curved length of thick foamies instead. They are more malleable, allow you to position the head at any desired height on the neck post (and that may vary even on the same body, depending on the clothing/equipment and resulting look). Depending on how tight you have made the fit, they can be stable enough, although you are not likely to hold the figure by the head and shake it around without it detaching soon enough. It is covered in part of this more general head conversion tutorial --

Helpful thread for sure.

When it comes to these types of threads (head-sculpt, body etc) i wish 2 threads were created, one thread for male, and one thread for female.

It would be good, if the OP could be updated to feature a single long (horizontal) image showing every body in a line up, face on, with the addtion of 2 additional images showing line up's that show back shot and side shot.

I'm not sure how much of this can be done, practically.
I agree that, ideally, side and back views of the bodies would be useful. Perhaps one day.
For organizational purposes, the male and female bodies are already split up into separate posts.
A single long horizontal image of every body in a line up is problematic for two reasons:
1. I don't own every single body (and my invitation for comparable images for inclusion of additional bodies I don't own has been ignored).
2. New bodies come out all the time, so any such image would be out of date and difficult to replace/add on to.

I am not familiar with Giantoy. I will have to look into those.

In the OP (which is the post everyone clicking on this thread will see 1st)
It would be good if a list featuring all product codes could appear below each heading. For example:

Part I: Male Bodies
TBLeague / Phicen M30 - (small description + link)
TBLeague / Phicen M31 - (small description + link)
TBLeague / Phicen M32 - (small description + link)
etc.

Part II: Female Bodies
TBLeague / Phicen S28A - (small description + link)
TBLeague / Phicen S29B - (small description + link)
TBLeague / Phicen S39A - (small description + link)
etc.

Any figures you do not have images of could feature a 'TO FOLLOW' placement image.
Smile

On a side-note, what head sculpt is this?
