MY LATEST 1/6 HEADS SCULPTS

Looks quite perfect!

She honestly looks amazing and better than any other sculpt of hers I've seen.

But in the pursuit of perfection... there is something about her lips that seems off to me, but I can't quite pinpoint it. Maybe the chin is too strong? Maybe the lips need to come forward a bit? Or maybe it's the philtrum? The definition seems a little intense, which of course might just be due to the dramatic lighting. You'll know best.

I did notice it in the profile picture, too, so I went and looked for a reference. Here is a good no-smile profile shot of her. I hope it helps. ^^

Thank you so much both for the fantastic compliment and for your suggestion. The lips are still a very early work, Chin is still far too and I am also touching the eyes right now :-).

Hair is still very early stage too.

I am passing you the improvements also to have a second (and fresh) point of view.

If someone of you sculpts or draw you know that after hours in front of your work you feel like drunk of your activity and don't see everything clearly.

So when I started the computer this morning I saw the flaws

Oh yes, sometimes it's just time to set the tools aside and return with refreshed energy and eyes.

Update on Padme face

Looks really good. Despite not being a fan of the prequels, I’d be in for that sculpt (neckless of course). Really good likeness.

So awesome! These are best Ani and Padme 1/6 sculpts I've seen, in terms of overall likeness. Excellent work. : )

Very nice head sculpt models. Your progress on the Padme head is remarkable. Great work!  

If I may give some feedback on the Padme head, I feel that the cheekbones could be slightly more pronounced/repositioned. But it is very close already.

Hi Randam. Thank you on your feedback. A lot depends also on perspective (both of the ref photos and of the image I posted). I am trying to find the right balance.
Still a WIP. Lot of work to do on her :-)
Everyday will change until the likeness will be the best I can achieve

Hi guys. I've been working on the overall shapes of Natalie's head sculpt during the weekend, before starting with the skin details, hair, brows, moles, etc. I think we are getting there.
What do you think?

The new renders look extremely nice. The colored, lower right head (3/4 view) resembles Natalie Portman very nicely.

I agree that one in particular is instantly recognizable, but all angles are good.

The addition of the little details is great and makes the sculpt even more recognizable. Nice work!

I'm not sure, if it is an effect of the lighting or the mesh itself, but the shading on the lower lip and its rim looks a little strange to me. Sorry, my experience is only in 2D drawing and not in 3D sculpting...

the closeup on the mouth looks good to me!

Maybe it was the particular lighting in the other picture. I have quickly edited the other picture to eliminate what looked strange to me. I guess it burns down to smoothening the edge of the mouth, but I might be wrong in my perception.

I actually still see something off with the lips. I think it's around the upper lip and philtrum. It's very confusing... So hard! You're doing an amazing job!

I couldn't find any frontal pictures, but then I remembers you can turn your file as you need so... Maybe this picture helps with getting the angles right.
