Many Hot Toys are less than ideal to be played with for all the reasons you list. Nothing beats the museum pose.
I have watched videos on how to care for Hot Toys figured if you want them to last. Also a lot depends on heat and humidity where you live.

Your Asami is really awesome! I think I remember seeing the progresses but I'm not sure if I saw the final piece.

Thanks. I can see areas that could be improved on. I will leave as is, as i am happy with the results.
If i ever came into some money, i might consider a custom head sculpt with a pro paint app.

For a moment I thought the first pic is a film still and the second one some official promo shot, which only speaks for your skills in lighting, photography, editing and presentation. (Etc.)

You are very kind.
I used room lighting (2x direction ceiling spot-lights) and an old Sony Cyber-shot digital camera that is only 7.2 mega pixel.
The black bars in the first shot are intended to add that movie look.

NECA Toony Terrors - An American Werewolf in London, Jack & Kessler Wolf 6" Figures 2 Pack

These arrived a couple of days ago Smile
6inch not 1/6th scale, but i knew that.

How could i not pick these up Very Happy
Not much in the way of articulation, making them feel like some sort of PVC crossover between figure and statue, not that i am complaining.

Check out the back of the window box. A scene depicting the exterior of The Slaughtered Lamb, a pub (bar) that features during An American Werewolf in London

Given the relatively low price point, these figures are totally worth it.

NECA recently offered a larger more series take on the Kessler Wolf. There is something about the Toony Terrors figure that looks more screen accurate.
It might have something to do with the legs.

Michael Myers Deluxe 1/6th Figure by Sideshow Collectibles

Michael Myers arrived today Smile
Another figure to add to my line-up of horror characters.

I often watch YouTuber DeanKnight333 and it never ceases to amaze me how some collectors can be obsessive about one character.
When it comes to knowledge on Michael Myers, Dean possibly ranks as no.1

As a casual fan, i think the Sideshow figure looks excellent! Dean might point out that the hair-line is not quite correct, and he is probably right.

I took some photo's and edited some of them in PS in an attempt to recreate that 1978's look.

If i wanted to be hyper picky, i might mention that i thought Myers arms look on the short side.
I might also mention that his shoulders are possibly too wide compared to the movie Myers.

As for the pose i went for. I was too lazy to try other posses ;D

He does look very good, but I am no expert. Don't really care for horror movies, though I realize this is a classic.

Absolute classic. Given the low budget of the Movie ($300,000) and a lead maniac who wears little more than boots, boiler suit and a basic white mask, it goes to show what can be achieved. Jamie Lee Curtis helped lift the movie to another level, as did the excellent theme music. Halloween (1978) went on to gross $47 million ..and counting.

The original was actually pretty good — and I don’t normally like those kinds of movies. Luckily, unlike the garbage made today, there really wasn’t any blood in the movie — just enough scares to make you jump (instead of getting grossed out).

..and those uneasy moments when Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) looks out of the window only to spot Myers standing below in the garden, looking back with a blank stare. On looking back, Myers has vanished. Whoa!

Freddy Krueger - A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors by Sideshow Collectibles 1/6th Scale Figure

Artists:
Jeff Yagher (Sculpt)
Mat Brouillard (Sculpt)
JPark (Sculpt)
Tim Niver (Sculpt)
Adam Smith
Wan Lee (Paint)
Namhoon Kim (Paint)
Mijin Namgung (Costume Fabrication)

Freddy arrived today
He will be joining my slow growing 1/6th scale line up featuring various horror characters.

I made use of the Spooktacular 2022 SPOOKY22 13% off code along with some SSC points, which helped justify the cost of the figure.

What can i say?
I like the figure. It is good to see Sideshow Collectibles support classic horror screen monsters.
I hope they offer more horror characters from other movies in the future.

Freddy's portrait looks nicely detailed, with a decent enough paint app.

The 2 unique gloved hands, one open and one gesture hand, both look excellent! with good blood splatter.
The blades look metal with their chrome finish.

The figure ships with ungloved 3 lefts hands each with there own pose/gesture.

Freddy's classic striped sweater, brown trousers and boots all look as they should.

One trick Sideshow appeared to miss was the inclusion of 2 hands featuring syringes on each of the finger tips.
Maybe Sideshow did consider the idea but felt it was a step too far? who knows?

The only negatives with regards to the figure include:
1. Freddy's fedora (hat) cannot be removed (no big deal)
1. The joints on Freddy's body are not as tight as a Hot Toys body.

Maybe at some point in the future i could look into making a pair of syringe hands. From what i can tell, all that is required is a pair of hands and clear plastic tubes and some thin metal rods. The plastic tubes could prove difficult to find. I guess that is part of the fun Very Happy

Hot Toys - Black Widow (Special Edition)

Black Widow arrived today all the way from Hong Kong
This is the black outfit Black Widow from the movie Black Widow (2021)

The prototype looked amazing!
When the production pieces started showing up not so long ago, collectors were loosing their s--- over what was perceived as.. Hot Toys appeared to have altered the portrait slightly?
Why? Who knows?

This was not going to stop me from picking up the figure. I have to agree, the portrait looks slightly wider compared to the proto portrait. As to be expected with Hot Toys, the paint app looks spot on.

The outfit is far better compared to the Hot Toys Black Widow from Avengers: Endgame. I have to admit, the End Game Black Widow still rates as Hot Toys most accurate looking Scarlett Johansson

The figure ships with various accessories.
The Special Edition ships with Taskmaster’s shield

All in all I like the figure. The plan is to display Black Widow next to Taskmaster

I tend not to stress pose my 1/6th scale figures, hence the slightly boring pose in the photo's above Smile

Nearly forgot to mention the neck. Hot Toys appeared to have up’d their game when it comes to 1/6th scale necks. Thought I’d mention that.
