Kinda weird to look at. Clearly they are from different dimensions, cause there is only one Vader in ours!
But cool! Especially the red one, because of the additional details.

He is from alt history version of Return of the Jedi  explored in Star Wars: Infinities comic series.


Blue version is based on Ralph McQuarrie's concept art (he wasn't blue in the actual concept art but Hasbro decided to make him in this sort of ink colors used in comics)


And the red one is from the Revenge of the Jedi poster


All these three figures were relatively easy for Hasbro to make as they are mostly recolors (but McQuarrie Vader has different head sculpt and cape).

They are cool either way, but thanks for pointing out the references.

Retconology

I have this scene in Diary of a field agent where the character I call Leliana takes on an episodic role of a nurse:


It bears no significance for the plot, and I could do away without it, but what's done is done, and I don't want to remove it.
However, I plan to give Leliana a different role in the prequel, and employing the same "identical tweens" excuse is not acceptable anymore (both for being a cliche and for internal consistency reasons).

I shot another take of that illustration with another actress


This is still a retcon, which I don't like, but it does not change anything other than appearance, so I'll probably proceed with it eventually.

FG078C

Ever since FG078 heads were mentioned in seamless body guide thread, I've been thinking of getting one of them, and finally pulled the trigger. This is FG078C:

Compared to two different versions of Tifa Lockhart's head:


One of the possibilities I saw for this head is a figure of (anthropomorphic) Sophon from Death's End. But now I am not sure this is actually Asian face, though I find it beautiful regardless.

I am now approaching overpopulation on my shelves. However, Fire Girl Toys lives up to its name.

She's beautiful! FireGirl heads really rock. At least in 1/12.

I agree, very fine sculpt, so much better than TBLeague's own.

Unfortunately FG076 headsculps seem to be sold out everywhere.

I guess you can never have enough synthetic humans (even though my shelf space tends to disagree)


1000 Toys did another production run of their Synthetic Female, so I decided to grab another one (I wish they did something like this with "Test" version of original Synthetic Human, or maybe the CARB).

And to better tell them apart, I went with Diana's idea of repainting, though only the hairpiece:


(so now there are two differences; which is represented as "10" in binary system.)

Yeah, I've had no luck finding the FG076. I had it on PO on Ebay for many months before I chickened out. I couldn't believe it still couldn't be delivered. Bugger.

Another Synth Female! YAY! Their articulation and stability are just insane!

So... please do tell what difference you're talking about. I noticed the green is a slightly different shade. I'm assuming the height difference is due to posing...

The only difference in the first photo is larger breastplate.
Height is due to posing, shade of green may be a play of light and shadows (I didn't even notice it).

Ah yes, the side by side comparison shows it. That's nice. I hadn't even noticed how flat she was, but the change makes it so obvious. ^^

For the record, it is not a change between production runs. They all come with 3 interchangeable plates of various sizes.

Nicely done. These bodies lend themselves to this, and it was the first thing I did when I got the first male Phicen / TBLeague seamless body, M30, some years ago. But you have nicer, real stones.

The wardrobe is (again) by Extreme Sets.
Already used it in my current story.
I don't have a permanent "room" scene so I build it up each time I need it, but this way I can't have too many details. So having at least some furniture makes it a bit more realistic.

Very true. Though there is a lot of dollhouse furniture and accessories suitable for 1:12 scale, which allows you to amass a number of pieces to amplify your civilian scenes. Less so for the more futuristic and tech-related stuff, of course.

Hibernation pod

Another recent acquisition: "Magic Tribal Hibernation Chamber" by MS GENERAL.


Apparently they make 1/10 scale model kits of anime girls in crazy futuristic armors.
This hibernation pod is also 1/10 scale, but it works quite well with my 1/12 scale figures:


Features light-up function with four colors (red, green, blue and white, though white has some blueish hue)



The terminal/console is also part of the package, though it's labeled as preorder bonus - so it might not be always included (which is unfortunate because it's interesting in it's own right).

As is common with model kits, it comes with decals which need to be applied during or after assembly. Above photos don't have them yet, the following photos do:






Overall, I like it quite a lot. But I'm not sure I can finagle it into my setting: it's not technologically advanced enough to feature accelerated healing in bacta tank style or long-distance space travel with hibernation.
