I was painting something relatively recently, and although I used primer, a little spot got scratched and the top layer peels.

Do you think it would work even without an airbrush?shovelchop81 wrote:GubernatorFan wrote:I tend to be a little shy with clear coat, because even the matte one seems too shiny to me. But it would have helped, I'm sure.
Get the Vallejo Premium Airbrush Color Matt Varnish that's what I used and it turned that super glossy coat to a deadpan matte with just one stroke of a brush!

GubernatorFan wrote:Ok, thanks for the advice. I have some Vallejo airbrush acrylics (by accident), and they work, but are so much more liquid than I expect, so I have to remember to add little to no water.
blackpool wrote:this is breathtaking!!! I love how the body and head came out, the color pattern, the gloss, it looks amazing! And that headsculpt is phenomenal, thank you 3000 for sharing the step by step progress, the ressearch and dev... it's brilliant
GubernatorFan wrote:It's intricate and busy work, but it looks very promising already.
Stryker2012 wrote:Nice detail on the skirt/kilt. What is that second material you used after the initial pattern?
Stryker2012 wrote:Silver card, not the tape.
Ovy wrote:I love how your WIPs look like weird car crashes, only to be turning into swarms of beautiful little butterflies.
The cable hair turned out great, and those segmented segments look very segmentional.
GubernatorFan wrote:Or glorious awe-inspiring moths, Ovy.

GubernatorFan wrote:Nice find in that chain. I hope it is easy enough to work with and put together with the rest of the outfit.
Theboo-bomb wrote:He's looking pretty good so far, that chain looks like it will work well with it too.
Stryker2012 wrote:That chain is a nice find. Should work pretty well.
