In person he looks great!

Like all collectors, we are happy until we see something that could be better.
If you wanted to be hyper-picky, you might notice the rip on the left thigh demin's exposes Kurt's thigh. It is possible (obviously) to see the plastic body underneath, it looks a little shiny, and there is a seam on the plastic. I have no real complaints.

I took these out of the box quick pose photo's. Onve i find a home for Kurt, the plan is to work more on the pose.

seen a LOT of people online piling praise onto this figure! so congrats.
lots of people seem over the moon with it.
if im honest the face while very recognisable isnt quite there for me, not even sure what it is about it? but some of the shots ive seen do make it look awesome Smile
saw nirvana a few times back in the day, even though they wernt quite my bag i always enjoyed them.

As for the figure likeness.. i get what you are saying. It does not feel off, at the same time the likeness does not scream 100% spot on. It might have something to do with the look they went with.

First time was supporting TAD, who crushed that night, they were a killer of a band!!! thats what you get for being old haha. i also put a couple of shows on for green day too haha and they stayed at my house a few times too.
there are still amazing bands to watch live all the time to find Smile last show i went to was a band called world peace although they might be a little out of the remit of most nirvana fans? then again what does an old geezah like me know Wink

Peacemaker by Hot Toys

Arrived today. Took these out of the box shots.
Everything appears to be ok.
Great looking figure!

I have wanted this figure ever since it was announced. It sold out in various places.
In the end, i spotted one on ebay for a normal price Smile

For the moment, Peacemaker is back in the box. During 2024 the plan is to unbox 'all' my figures and display them.

Looks great, Shaun. In case you can't figure out how to make the pistol removable and want to, there is a hint in the Justin's Collection review on YouTube. Something about slicing through a little intruding piece inside the holster.
They really screwed up in one way: no unmasked head, though perhaps they are saving that for a future release, hoping the franchise would remain marketable. The face is actually entirely there, but in two pieces, and unfortunately there is an overly obvious seam between them.

I watch Justin's video when it came out. I might look into removing the pistol. The fact the figure ships with a pistol hand is kinda funny. Seems there were (license) rules in place for Hot Toys to make the figure. Pointing gun's is bad. What other use do gun's have, other than pointing them? ;D

Exactly... but we can be thankful Hot Toys was intentionally or unintentionally thick enough to allow for the possibility. I hope the licensor doesn't make a problem out of it.

I cannot imagine DC making problems for Hot Toys.
DC seem far more open compared to Marvel.

Maybe DC are under pressure to limit all things guns. Maybe 'toys' are under pressure (have rules in place) when it comes to guns?
I cannot recall ever seeing blood loss during anything related to Star Wars? ..there is lots of shooting and death.

Probably true enough. These are not really toys for kids, but I guess it doesn't help that the company's name is Hot Toys. I'm not saying it's sensible.

Maybe the time has come for Hot Toys to re_brand to Hot Figs ..and have age related certs attached to them, based on the movie they are from.

Someone over at the Freaks heated up the holster and was able to remove the gun.

'What's the best way to remove the gun? Mine seems pretty stuck in there. Kinda nervous about using a blow-dryer given the silicon arms.'
- SpiderBat

'I held mine in front of the blowdryer for a few minutes and didn't have any issues. Silicon shouldn't have any problem with a blowdryer.'

You may be talking about two different things. Insofar as the gun might be lodged tightly in the holster, heating would help. But the little plastic bit inside the holster that keeps it from sliding up and out would still need to be cut -- from what I understand (I only got some parted out pieces, not the whole set). Cutting it would still be easier if heated, I suppose.

Hawkeye Kate Bishop by Hot Toys

Arrived today. Took these out of the box shots.
Everything appears to be in good shape. Hot Toys never did alter the front of Kate's hair. No big deal.
Beautiful looking figure!

The plan is to display Kate with Avengers: Endgame - Hawkeye also by Hot Toys
