I've already got two! The large Hasbro Tech Titan one and the oversized Legends one. Already thought of that, worried the red will show too much when chipped or scratched though.

Just some pics of detail work for the sniper rifle that will fold up on his back and then be deployed over his shoulder with a built in sensor array for automated rangefinding and wind speeds etc.., Gatling gun has an added hose, camera, new bracket and mini sensor array for detecting and tracking targets while communicating with the suit's on board AI for ammunition conservation and avoiding friendly fire. I added another set of springs to the leg struts/supports as mechanical assists for the servo driven motors in both directions and mostly looks. The arrays etc.. don't need to be that big with modern technology but I figured this way they can be seen by people looking at the figure and convey that the weapons are 'smart' and not just point and shoot.















I need to drill holes and screw this base for the sniper rifle hinge system on to the left shoulder clearing the rocket pod.

You make two of these gun-loaded figured, and then pose them running alongside each other, and you've got your own personal arms race.

LOL! Not the worst joke I've heard, luckily for you I have a mate who specialises in them... unluckily for me!
I've already told myself if the sniper rifle looks too much I'll save it for another build, we'll find out today, should work/look okay...

Well that was a pain, broke my mini hand drill and had to use my bigger hand drill to fix it! Got the sniper rifle mounted at last along with everything else except for the knife and skull logo. This is a pre paint mock up if you like and yes even I'm amazed he can stand unaided with all that gear!! I have put him on a stand for now though not wanting to tempt fate...

OK, got a stand now for my piece of mind..

The stand is probably a wise decision, as we know your place seems to be exposed to the only earthquakes in Wales (when you bump into things and tables shake, sending items scattering to their doom). But it is great to know that the piece can stand by itself -- just out of curiosity, why didn't you try the stabilizers?

I forgot .

We do have had real earthquakes in Wales, although nothing compared to the ones I grew up with in Greece.

LOL. Happens to us all. And I believe that (about Greek earthquakes). If nothing else, I remember the beginning of my favorite Lara Croft movie...

Right.. before I take him to bits for paint I thought I'd demonstrate how his weapon systems pack away when not in use, ends up with a sort of Sand Trooper like backpack which I think is quite acceptable given the built in superhuman strength of the suit and he's not marching around a desert planet in a body stocking and non mechanically supported Plastisteel!











Compared to fully deployed:

Just finished the two skulls using the new Punisher logo. The flash whites it out a lot but I still might add some grey sponge work.

The skulls look absolutely awesome. Well done!

Wow it's getting better and better at every step, all those guns look so badass once deployed, totally meeting the original concept and early drawings of the Punisher! And the logo is coming out so nicely... Fantastic build!

About the armored kingpin, you might want to see the "armored" hammerhead they designed for the recent videogame Spiderman. It's more an exoskeleton than a proper armor but it looks cool!

Bitchin’ (is that still a term?). Really looks great.

Thanks blackpool! Which drawings are those? As for Hammerhead, completely forgot he existed! I'm recalling vague memories of my childhood comics and remembering a Frankenstein like 1930's Mafia guy with a Thompson? Great idea, need to look into that!

I've been detail painting all day and most of the night before, finally done all the touch up paint too, I don't think I'll weather him on this build, not sure yet. I have him back together but need to finish a few details like the muzzle brake for the anti-material/sniper rifle and some lens type bits here and there. The purple looks more blue in the pics.

Jon Bernthal in an Iron Man suit would be unstoppable. Only old age and writing could beat him.

As with all your work, there are too many great things to point out. But the spongework on that chestskull really ties the suit together.

Thank you so much Ovy! Done plenty more sponge work since those pics as I decided to weather him after all, have I over done it? What do you guys think? Not the best pics again  Sorry! Let me know anyway, I'm going to sleep on it I think and see how I feel about the paint in the morning as I can reduce it fairly easily with black ink and a sponge . Anyway he's mostly together now as you can see, I just had to remove his accessories to paint them, finished up those little details too apart from repulsor hands.

Actually I think it looks great, even if I already liked the old look. As Stryker noted, the helmet is now scarier, which is probably a bonus for the character.

I often have to wait to comment on your threads til closer to the end, as I find it easier to understand if I sort of go backwards through it. Otherwise all the bits and pieces are super confusing and I'm not always sure what I'm looking at, lol. But of course it always turns out amazing!

It's a lot of WIP to go through but the figure is turning out pretty great in the long run. Great job at accomplishing this with a much less articulated model, it shows a lot of skill and dedication to make a transformation like this.

Thanks Mark and Ian! I just changed a few angles on the skull to make it more aesthetically pleasing to me, I guess that must mean scary then!

Cheers AA91! The WIP is detailed on purpose to show new techniques I discover, experiments I try etc.. just to give other members who want to start scratch building some ideas and tips etc.. I've been doing these types of threads for about 10+ years now. I seem to do a lot of builds where I turn 'brick like' figures such as Hasbro's 12" Hero/Titan figures and articulate them completely as a challenge, for fun and to save a lot of money! Also I don't have the patience to wait for HT etc.. to release their figures .

Your explanations are very helpful, don't worry! It's just my eyes when it comes to looking at the unfinished armour pieces, especially in instances when I'm not as familiar with the source material. ;p
