Lexi and Allison on holiday - update 28 mar - Back home

That is one nice church! Too bad the town's abandoned, but I think you explained earlier (quarry and all). Lexi ruined the highway -- nice! I was going to make a funny comment about Allison making it out of Gizem's ... establishment, but then thought it might be perceived as more diss than humor, so I restrained myself.

I'm curious: how could an entire town like this be abandoned? Particularly in Europe, where the population density is relatively high?

I want that church! I want to live there! That would be so cool! But I'm sure, even if it were for sale, it would be beyond my budget!

The town is abandoned because of the excavation for browncoal next to it. The town is not completely abandoned though. There are still people living in the white house behind Allison and Bernadette (at least when I took the pictures last september).


The highway is rerouted for the same reason.

Meanwhile Lexi decided to visit the ghosttown herself too.








She also visited the excavation again. Even though she had seen it before, she was amazed by how big it was.

I'm just glad your gals haven't been attacked by some sort of radioactive zombies in this beautiful, empty, and potentially slightly creepy place.

Always nice to see Lexi again - feels like ages since the last time we saw what she had been doing.

Lexi looks to see if she has dug enough.

I'm happy about that too
The place wasn't completely desolate though. In the white house behind Allison and Bernadette there were still people living.

Allison and Bernadette are looking at the church in that pic.
When I was taking the pictures of Lexi, the couple living there were standing in their doorway, probably wondering what I was doing there. Got to say that did make me a bit uncomfortable.

Apparantly Lexi decided that she had not dug enough, because she dug another hole.
There are several excavations in that area.

Yes, it was quite sunny then.

Indeed there was a forest in the direction she was looking. While she was driving through the forest, she didn't notice someone sitting high on a fence.



She heard someone say: "Hey, Lexi, is that you? What are you doing here?"
Lexi was startled, looked up and saw the girl looking at her.



"Hey, Keira. Haven't seen you in awhile. I could ask you the same."
"Well, I actually live in the neighborhood, unlike you."
"Oh. I guess that's true. Can you come down? Then we can talk further. This is straining my neck."



"Sure." And Keira climbed down.
"Nice to see you again"



"But maybe we can sit down here."
"OK. I've got a blanket with me. Do you want something to drink?," Lexi asked.
"Yes, thanks."
"Nice chair you've got. I gotta get me one of those too."



"So what are you doing here?" Keira asked.
"Just travelling."



"Ah, yes," Keira said, "you always you aways visit such nice places. I've recently went to the town and excavation you've showed me pictures of."

Keira rocks. I'm not sure her outfit fits the surroundings (other than the forest, of course), but she is pretty awesome. Arhian pirate, no?

I like the custom license plate on Lexi's car!

Yes, Arhian pirate. She actually fits in the forest, but I agree her and Lexi's outfit don't match that much.

(Both will be easily spotted as fake plates, because vowels aren't used on dutch license plates. I think GnK may have a funny story about the plates on Bernadette's car.)

After their picnic in the forest, they went to the nearby dam, where they got some attention from people passing by.












In the last picture it 1ooks like Lexi stategically placed herself so that she got most of the attention.

One woman asked that it was amazing that they were just sitting there, to which we explained that they were ours and we took them her. She then asked if she could take a picture of them. I wonder to who she showed the picture and what their reaction was.

Well, bystander curiosity is to be expected. It is brave enough of you to take them out in public. Yeah, Lexi is an attention hog, no doubt. But I can't stop looking at Keira. Which makes sense... Arhian is where I broke down and actually bought a TBLeague set for the first time.

I'm not sure if I made it clear, but Keira is not a figure of mine. She's from a friend. We met there, because it was a nice location to take some pictures. I got to say with two it's much easier to do than alone.

We have the impression that Keira can also conduct good purchasing negotiations.

Nice place for these two they enjoy the attention they get

I always like to hear little stories of people reacting to our action figures.

A few days later Lexi took a walk around a lake.






During the walk she remembered that Keira likes to swim, so she gave her a call.







Keira wanted to join her. While she was waiting for her, Lexi tested the water.
