Decided to take some pics of a couple purchases that I received a bit ago.

The Mandalorian Swoop Bike (not going to be used for the Mando) -- Han Stryker's new ride:

Received these two figures last week; The Bad Batch (based on Disney+ animated series) Hunter, and The Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze (who was originally featured in the animated Clone Wars I believe). Both of these will be joining my own personal Star Wars Stykerverse:

Han Stryker on Speed  drunken  That looks cool. Greatest charmer in the strykerverse especially when combined with grogu and this 2000hp luxury bike.
Nice lighting too

Someone had a really rough time traveling around the world:

War Story 1/6 Action Figure Guan Yu Student Girl (Female Edition)

She arrived with all her belongings spilled out inside the box / clamshell, her body was bent, head turned 90 degrees, her socks were at her ankles. It's as if a whirlwind occurred inside. But from the outside the box is intact, not crushed or even scuffed. Thankfully there seems to be no permanent damage:

She looks nice, but her hair seems excessively long. I also wonder how the stray that's standing up will stay in place.

Maybe she had a wild night inside her box?

You can probably get the stray hair tamed back down using some clingfilm to hold it back in place for a while. With natural fibers I'd also wet it a little, but not sure if that would be a good idea for the synthetic.

Yeah, that seems to be on purpose, it's held in place by hot glue, which I found a rogue blob of in her hair, that was probably not on purpose.
She also smells like hair, which is a bit weird. I'm sure it's just the effect of residual chemicals.

Hot Toys Doc Brown Back to the Future (Deluxe)

I’ve assembled everything but Doc Brown, because holy cow does he come with a lot of stuff.

Nice.
My Doc Brown remains in the box for the reasons you stated. Too many accessories to put into place. That is something i will do when the time comes i have a home for him. When that time coms, the plan is to block up the two holes either side of his portrait with some grey Fimo

One thing I’d like to bring up to both of you is to be careful when assembling the breast pocket’s items. The clamp that holds the paper to the pocket (which is a pain in itself) and the pocket protector fit very tight in the pocket width-wise, and the clamp bent and almost severed the blue ‘pen clip’ when I assembled it as instructed. I removed the pocket protector and tried super glueing it back in place. After the glue cured I reassembled and the clamp broke that same blue pen clip off. My guess is the tailoring is a tad small for the intended pieces, at least on my unit. Then again the three pen clips are tiny! Thankfully the piece of paper now covers the broken blue pen cap. It was actually broken when I took my photos posted on page 9.

That’s the only issue I had assembling the entire figure.

Best of luck on assembly.

Thanks for the tip. That all sounds awful. With my arthritis, I may not even assemble Doc now. I have so many figures that require all this tiny fiddle stuff that have been in the box since day one, as I just have hard time getting motivated enough to do it. Your issue with the pocket just sounds daunting.

While not all of these are recent. I just received the Art Figures Edward Scissorhands, and he looks fantastic. (My pictures may not do him justice). However, he's a massive pain in the ass to assemble -- the damn individual blades of his "fingers" kept falling off, there's one little piece that was loose in the box and I can't for the life of me figure out where the damn thing goes. The hair is, for the first time, absolutely fantastic sculpted; so many loose strands actually floating over the head -- brilliantly handled for sculpted hair. He's got fairly weak ankles, so I recommend using the stand when you get him -- or any stand of your choosing.

I had also received the Mars Toys (Nicholson Joker) & Present Toys Raider (Indiana Jones) a few weeks ago, but finally got around to taking pics.

The Joker figure is pretty good for a bootleg (at least good enough for me), and so is the Indy -- which comes with two sculpts (I didn't take pics of the smiling sculpt); I actually think the likeness to Ford is pretty good. The clothes could stand a bit of weathering, and the pants are a bit too short. My biggest complaint on Indy would be his belt as there wasn't a "loop" to hold the tongue of the belt down after going thru the buckle.

Anyway...

I also received the Dark Toys Eddie (Murphy - From Beverly Hills Cop) today, but didn't bother taking pics. He's pretty disappointing. The likeness isn't as good as the prototype, and the body is absolute garbage -- floppy as hell.

The thing about the blades is they are teeny tiny ball joints — hence the reason they keep falling off, but most of them are meant to be moved so you can actually pose the “fingers”. Glueing them would actually defeat the purpose.

Cangdao Model Hellboy finally arrived... and this is my absolute toy of the year. This thing is just pure awesomeness and it's insane.

You think it can stand losing some pounds... 1.65 kg!
Your Latest Purchase... - Page 18 52627184642_e892e3b9ac_bHB Weight by Vicki Lee, on Flickr

HT Rescue Armor only weighs 516 grams (less than half the weight of Hellboy)

Bandai SoC GoLion (aka Lion Voltron)
Your Latest Purchase... - Page 18 52628135845_45c1668237_bLV Weight by Vicki Lee, on Flickr

And out of these officially licensed diecast toys... you guessed correctly that HT Rescue is the most expensive out this lot. The others all cost about $100-200 CAD less than HT. And they got more diecast in them and are more playable. Rescue is more like a statue with limited range of motion.

And it always bothered me that when extending her mid section to allow for more range of motion, you got a gappy hollow area that breaks the sculpt.
Your Latest Purchase... - Page 18 52627946579_f2e3f55b07_bHollow Gap by Vicki Lee, on Flickr

Hellboy has detailed plates that conceal the gap and hollowness. All the poses I can do and it doesn't break the sculpt like other jointed figures. No unsightly hollowness or gaps when doing those mighty ab crunches or pivots. Only gap noticeable is the hip/groin area... but it's not too bad especially with the range of motion you can get from that area.

His might fist ready to wallop

Despite it's weight, it still has a good balance... standing on one leg and ready to deliver a kick.
Your Latest Purchase... - Page 18 52628178028_c7c69c7b7b_bHB Balance by Vicki Lee, on Flickr

Very well done articulated fingers... ready to snap. And if you haven't noticed from the other shots, tail is also fully articulated.

Thus bringing together some other stuff I got in 2022 to build the Hellboy Mecha team. Coat has wires running though it so it can be posed too.
Your Latest Purchase... - Page 18 52627946599_b13ea00f50_bHB Mecha Team by Vicki Lee, on Flickr

I honestly couldn't get enough of this guy. Sorry, I put the alternate head and arm/hand away in storage before the doing the photo shoot. Overall, this thing is a blast and I'm still having fun messing with him. Only concern I really have is if the diecast will go loosey goosey over time. Bandai is notorious for that in their lines.

Ah I had the hopes you could glue the blades to a "peg"
kinda you would glue a full hand onto a peg or a peg to an arm.

glue the blades to something NOT moveable. There was a chance Smile

Ball joints... I would use a bit of plumbers tape and jam into hole and work with it until it holds. Some use clear nail polish on the peg and let dry, test fit and if needed apply another coat.

Very cool stuff, Doodlehooby and Mark!

I also received quite a few deliveries during the last days... I got the custom Olga Kurylenko-head back from 357Partment, received the Cyberpunk Trickybaby Rainbow-Set from Very Cool, and had the Worldbox AT200 girl body in the mail on Thursday.
