Have you checked if there aren't some beads of this type (though not necessarily the same material, color, or finish) that might not do?

That site is blocked for me?
I went ahead and ordered the tube and beads mention in my previous post.

Sorry, I just meant to use it for illustration purposes, I don't know if you have Hobby Lobby in the UK, but surely other hobby or jewelry stores must have Czech Glass Straight Bugle Beads (or similar -- again, we're after the shape, not so much the material, color, or finish). Anyway, I'm sure you'll do fine. Do a google search for Czech Glass Straight Bugle Beads Size 2 (but then look at other options or similar shaped items).

I am 99% done with the backdrop. Just need to build and add the
bamboo curtain. Once the new hopefully improved portrait arrives,
i will need to work on my figure pose skills and try to take better
photo's.

I added an image of the Werewolf and included some text. The logic
being, should someone find the backdrop in the future and wonder
what the hell it is Very Happy

..and i taped down the Phicen breasts to make them smaller/flatter.

There is much room for improvement when it comes to the light-
switch, is has been made for wood. A 3D printed switch would be
good to source at some point in the future.

In this shot i have Photoshopped the light switch to the correct height.
I have since removed the light-switch, sanded the wall and painted.
Once the paint has dried, i can sandpaper the paint and attach the
light-switch into position.

Very cool. That is one high light switch, but I'm sure you've done your homework. Smile

Awesome work! It came together so wonderfully. While dioramas aren't always neccessary just for displaying a figure, in this case I can totally see why you went to the extra effort as it really helps put the character into context and gives a great cinematic effect.

Thanks. Once the new portrait arrives, it might add more life to the character.
Also, once i have added the bamboo curtain it should be possible to use it to cast a shadow onto the pink wall.

I have been thinking about the lighting quite a bit. I figured outside the moon is large, as it is supposed to be the ngith before David transforms into a Werewolf. I'd assume the font light is from the moon and the two rear lights possibly come from the bedroom (located further down the passage) and the kitchen, once houses a window. I assume more light enters via the kitchen window this casts a shadow via the bamboo curtain.

I'm working on that.

Project - Nurse Alex Price (from An American Werewolf In London) - Page 7 Bamboo-Curtain-half-size
LOADING: Image(s)

Today i assembled 8x Bamboo curtain strands, then ran out of materials.
Ideally 13 is the perfect number of stands to create one side of the curtain.
Then i got thinking. 8 is probably enough, as 13 would look too thick when bunched up to the side.
Ideally, the materials sourced should be x% smaller. I think i will stick with 8.

Pointless fact: I popped on the Blu-ray, An American Werewolf in London. By the time the end credits started to roll i was working on the 8th Bamboo strand.

The next step is to work on a piece of wood to attach the strands.

Looks pretty good. I agree, slightly smaller would have been better, but also probably near impossible to work with. And I agree, 8 strands should sufficient to work with one side of the door frame.

Thanks. I cannot wait for the new portrait paint app to get started/be completed.

Also, one of the main reasons for the Bambo curtain was to be able to provide a shadow on the pink wall.

The other night it was a full moon. I would like to take a photo using the light from a full moon, or the night prior to the full moon Very Happy

I am probably building my hopes up to guaranteed disappointment. At the same time, i like to think all will look great Smile

I have seen photo's Smile

What do i think of the results?
The portrait looks beautiful. Far more life-like than the current one i have.
The eye's are 100% on point, as are the eyebrowse.
For the hair, they appear have gone with brown and what appears to be gold highlights.
As requested, they have added her spot to her lower left cheek.
As requested, they appear to have painted on pearl earrings. I assume they are painted on, as they are out of focus in the photo.

If i wanted to enter the realms of being hyper-picky.
There is a sense she is wearing make-up, rather than looking natural.
There appears to be a very slight squint to the eye's. The sculpt is possibly to blame, as her cheeks have been sculpted slightly puffy.

Here is the paint app. It has been a 3 month wait, and i am blown away!
Jenny looks are more alive than the previous paint app, which looks more cartoony.
For the moment, i cannot attach the head sculpt to the body, as i do not have it in my possession yet.

I posted just the head sculpt. Skin tones will not match the body 100%
I guess if you want the skin color to match then they might want the body.

Your best bet to send them a message via Instagram. Their response time can be fast, but not always.

When i posted the head sculpt i included some photo's to give them an idea of what i wanted. Really i left it in their hands to see what they would come up with.

If i were to pick out 4 examples from 357partment, it would probably be these 4. They all look mind-blowing.
I think the painter(s) get to show-off their skills more when it comes to the male portraits, as they get to add facial hair etc.

It goes to show, the sculpt is only half of it. The paint app makes all the difference.

I've seen some of those before, but had forgotten the name of the studio. Thanks for the reminder.

Do you know if there is any other way to get in contact with them aside from instagram? No offense to the platform, but I absolutely loathe it, lol. Would rather contact people via alternative methods.
